Сentral Research Institute for complex Use of Water Resources

(CRICUWR) is a research and consultancy of the Ministry of Nature Resources and Environmental Protection.

Main activities connected to road range of water-related issues – from waste water treatment and industrial and municipal water supply to monitoring and modeling of water bodies, water management, and tourism; environmental audit and on environmental education and

CRICUWR runs a PhD program and actively participates in teaching at

universities; it is involved in research training networks on pollution abatement in the transboundary basin of Buh (also includes SGGW) and co-organizes a series of summer schools on research methods for ecosystem research (jointly with Uppsala University). CRICUWR organizes biannual Minsk Water Forums assembling water resources experts from all over former USSR and annual national competitions for the best artworks celebrating the environment.

CRICUWR will participate in the revision of taught courses related to environment at partner countries universities, in the curriculum development effort for the MSc program in Environmental Governance, and the development of textbooks and study materials. Acting on behalf of the Ministry of Nature Resources and Environmental Protection of Belarus, institute will also actively
