1. Summary
1.1 Service Description
IBM SPSS Data Collection Remote Administration on Cloud works in tandem with IBM SPSS Data Collection Interviewer Desktop whereby interviewers can collect survey data interactively using laptops, tablets or other handheld devices with or without an Internet connection.
Data Collection Remote Administration on Cloud allows for automated tracking, synchronization, and management of projects collected in the field.
While remote interviewers conduct surveys the system synchronizes the data and projects back to the IBM SPSS Data Collection Cloud server. At the same time new or updated projects can be pushed down to the Interviewers device.

IBM SPSS Data Collection Interviewer Desktop solves all of these issues and lets you capture people’s preferences and opinions on the go. IBM SPSS Data Collection Interviewer Desktop gives you the ability to field engaging surveys from any laptop or tablet PC. To hold the interest of respondents or gain more precise answers, you can incorporate rich multimedia features such as graphics, movies and sounds within your survey.
As part of the IBM SPSS Data Collection solution for mobile, in-person interviewing, IBM SPSS Data Collection Remote Administration on Cloud automatically tracks, synchronizes and manages the data being collected, without requiring any special effort by interviewers. Working in synergy with IBM SPSS Data Collection Interviewer Desktop it automatically detects when a stable Internet connection is available, and then sends the collected data to the centralised Data Collection Cloud repository.
This process allows your interviewers to focus on getting the best possible feedback, and you don’t have to worry about the integrity of survey results.
2.2 What we will deliver
IBM SPSS Data Collection on Cloud software allows you to quickly begin authoring and managing your online surveys with very little upfront investment. IBM SPSS Online Services provides the infrastructure and the software for you to access via a browser-based connection. You can then focus on your core business without worrying about hardware, software, staffing levels or ongoing maintenance costs.
The IBM SPSS Data Collection on Cloud environment is an enterprise-wide platform for gathering survey research data. It uses the IBM SPSS Data Collection software suite so business users have a robust tool to gather insights from survey data they may otherwise would have missed. SPSS Data Collection software covers the entire survey research process – authoring for the novice or the survey expert, data collection, analysis and reporting.
IBM SPSS Data Collection Remote Administration on Cloud users will be provided secure access to the Data Collection on Cloud administration environment. This is a simple interface/Web Page for controlling access to a variety of Data Collection applications and tasks. The Data Collection administration environment provides a web page where all available applications can be accessed and projects can be built, activated and administered, depending on the rights that
Specifically for Remote Administration users, a Supervisor view will be provided that allows for the management of the remote project through it’s survey life cycle – everything from modifying the project, assigning Interviewer access, project synchronization, viewing results and exporting the end data.
IBM will offer the following:
a. Provide a remote (Web conference) overview to the client of the Data Collection on Cloud environments:
(1) describe the Data Collection on Cloud Environments;
(2) explain the Data Collection on Cloud custom tools; and
(3) discuss User questions;
b. Provide the User logins required for access to the Environments;
c. Provide the URL for Users to access (dependent upon subscription level): (1) Data Collection Remote Administration software via a server website
d. Set up the User role to establish access to the appropriate Data Collection software activities.
2.3 Commercials
Pricing for access to the IBM SPSS Data Collection Remote Administration on Cloud environment is on a per month basis. A tiered pricing model is used whereby the unit price changes dependent upon the total number of authorized users purchased.
A user is an authorized individual who has been granted individual access to the IBM SPSS Data Collection Survey Reporter environment.
