Implementation pitfalls and challenges

VoIP allows consumers and businesses to do : – Call routing from branch location to headquarters

(HQ) and vice versa for better call handling – Customer service calls can now be consolidated

and centralised to a single location (e.g. HQ) – Consolidation of phone calls from all offices to a

single location for better management and to achieve volume-based efficiency in call rates – “Hop-Off” calling allows users’ long distance calls to

be first carried to the appropriate local office via the corporate IP network and then switched to the local PSTN for completion, making it a local call

– Communicate easily and support readily mobile and remote users at lowest cost
