Senior Aide: Bill Fitz & Rodney Booth Dear Members of the Center, This February is American Heart Month, created to raise awareness of this disease that claims the lives of so many. Heart disease and strokes are two of the three most deadly diseases in the United States. Combined,

these two illnesses result in approximately 750,000 deaths in the US each year — almost a fourth of all annual deaths in the United States.

It is much easier to make healthy choices that prevent heart disease and strokes. Therefore, people of all ages should be wary of their habits in an effort to prevent these conditions from happening to you. As with most

recommendations, maintaining a healthy, active lifestyle with proper diet and no smoking is of the highest

priority. By keeping your body as healthy as possible, it is in its best shape to fight off disease and keep

organs working properly.

So spread the word and be sure to join the Center’s Open Exercise area,

or join in on a fun class or two!

we do not take reservations over the phone.

Payment will be required to secure a seat.

Your check or cash will be held until the day of the trip.

You do not need to be a member, but need to be 21 yrs.

If we don’t have enough interest to cover the bus fee, the trip will be canceled and you will be fully refunded.

Dress according to weather and pay close attention to travel handouts for any special details for each trip.

Park your car in the last row in the parking lot of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Make sure the office has your updated cell & home phone number.

New Information about LEPSC and Trip Information

Here is some great information for all members to review:

Did you know that when you check in you can see if your membership is up for renewal?

Also, for those that still get your newsletter via the mail, you can see on the corner of your mailing label when your membership is due for renewal.

To avoid donation date confusion due to the monthly newsletter deadlines, donations will now be posted for the previous month that we received them. When looking at the donation area online, you will see the month that we received the donation highlighted. If you donated in that month and

we missed you, please let us know. We appreciate the donations and wouldn’t want to miss anyone.

We would like to welcome Janice Zimmerman as our new

Trip/Tour Coordinator.

Janice is going to organize the Senior Centers’ trips in the future.

If you are interested in offering her suggestions, please do so. Keep an

eye out for the first trip for 2019, it is in the planning process.

Good luck in your new adventures!
