Phonics/Reading
Today in Phonics, we are learning a new sound ‘y’.
The word we use to remember this sound is ‘yawn’ and the action is to pretend to yawn!
We have allocated the ‘y’ lesson to you on Bug Club - please log in and watch it.
Look at the way the ‘y’ is written. You whoosh in, go down to the line, curl up, down and under the line, make a loop and whoosh out!

When we add, we take different groups and put them together to make a new, bigger group.
Other Activity
Here are two ideas for an art activity.
First you need to paint a sunset background with paint or pencil. Once it is dry you can draw silhouettes such as animals and trees with a black pen.
Some people in Africa wear beautiful necklaces like in the pictures below. Can you try and make one? You can use a paper plate or cardboard to decorate.
