INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Università IULM is happy to welcome its students for a year in total safety. In order to ensure the implementation of anti-Covid safety regulations and to reduce the opportunities for contact, we have identified procedures for entry, transit through and exit from campus - appropriately indicated by appropriate signs - which we ask everyone to respect.

All anti-Covid regulations are published on the IULM portal.

This guide was created to provide first-year students with an overview of the university's services. The iulm.it portal and the social channels of IULM Communication School are the main tool through which students can stay informed about the services, events, meetings and opportunities that IULM offers over the year.

ONLINE SERVICES

The University provides a series of online services to facilitate the search for information and communication between the University and students.

ONLINE STUDENTS’ SECRETARIAT

The online secretariat’s office allows access to the services reserved for enrolled students. It can be accessed from the homepage of the iulm.it portal (in the footer at the bottom of the page) through the username and password issued at the time of registration for the test. Here you can view your career, upload your study plan, print certificates and self-certification forms, check the regularity of tuition payments and print MAV.

ONLINE COMMUNITY

The Community is a collaborative platform from which students can download teaching materials, exercises, in-depth content, and intermediate test results. You can access the Community directly from the "Access to services" section of MyIULM by entering the same username and password used for the online secretariat office, or from the link

Some sections of the Community require passwords that will be issued by the relevant teacher, while others are free access.

E-MAIL

Through the institutional mailbox students will be able to access all the services offered by Google Apps and will have 25 GB available for the archiving of mail and documents. To access the mailbox you need to connect to mail.studenti.iulm.it using the username and password you already have for the Online Secretariat.

WIRELESS IULM

Inside the university you can connect to the Internet using the wireless connection of the Eduroam service which IULM uses. IULM students will then be able to use their credentials to access the wi-fi of all the facilities participating in the international roaming service of the Eduroam Federation.

MICROSOFT OFFICE 365 EDUCATION

Università IULM, in collaboration with Microsoft, has activated the Microsoft Office 365 Education service for students. This is an agreement that allows you to install for free the latest versions of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Access and Publisher on up to 5 devices. CLASS SCHEDULE

The lecture and exam calendars of all study courses are available for consultation at the link: aule.iulm.it/PortaleStudentiIulm

Download the official app of the IULM University. By downloading the IULM Lessons app you will always have your timetable just a click away lectures and the daily occupation of the classrooms of all university locations, as well to other features made available by your university. You can also register your attendance at the lesson by entering the code or by scanning the QR Code provided by the tutor. You can download IULM Lessons on the following platforms: Iphone and Android.

FEES AND CONTRIBUTIONS

To participate in the Master, the student must complete the enrollment by the date indicated by the Student Secretariat, by paying the first installment (from which the pre-enrollment fee of 100 € for University Masters e of 134, 20 € for the Specialist / Executive Masters). The other two installments will be paid by the dates indicated by the Secretariat Students upon enrollment. The IULM University together with the Banca Popolare di Sondrio supports the need for high level specialized training allowing to finance the Masters with specific financing formulas and subsidized loans. Special concessions are also provided for companies and institutions who register two or more employees on Masters or Courses.

LIBRARY

Over 240,000 volumes, more than 1,300 periodicals and about 56,000 films, documentaries and language courses. In the library you can consult and borrow -by appointment in accordance with the procedures indicated on digger.iulm.it - material for research, study or leisure in compliance with all recent regulations in terms of safety.

The "Carlo Bo" Library is located on several floors of the IULM 1 building: Ground floor: Reading rooms , PCs with internet connection

RESEARCH CENTRES

Today IULM is one of the most active research and training centres in the fields of communication, tourism and languages. A constantly evolving workshop that is always producing new resources not only for the university, but also for civil society, institutions, businesses.

Some of the university’s research centres are: the Neuromarketing Research Centre "Behavior and Brain Lab", the IULM Research Centre AI LAB - Artificial Intelligence for Business & Humanities, the Euresis Centre for diagnosis, intervention, research on specific learning difficulties (SLD) and the Centre for Strategic Communication - CECOMS.

LIFE IN IULM

Participating in the life of the University means being actively interested in the course of studies undertaken and moving from a passive perspective to one in which the students perceive themselves as an integral part of their study path. The University is not only about being in the lecture hall, but also about experiencing all the opportunities it offers to the full.

RADIO IULM

The Università IULM web radio was born as a teaching/experimental workshop of new cross-media formats and languages and professional training. Every year the editorial staff is renewed thanks to the inclusion of new students who are passionate about the medium and want to collaborate in a creative experience in addition to their academic commitments. IULM SPORT - CUS

The university and the Centro Universitario Sportivo di Milano (CUS Milano) support and encourage the participation of their students in sports activities, both amateur and competitive, and support them in taking part in the Milan University Men's and Women's Championships.

ACCOMMODATION

Choosing the university to study at means - for many people - choosing where to live. Università IULM hosts within its campus the Residence Santander and the Cascina Moncucco residence where study and free time can find the right spaces. It is possible for registered students to request accommodation in a double room at reasonable prices in one of the above-mentioned structures, by sending an email to [email protected]

IULM OPEN SPACE

Harmony and colour, lines and lights, spaces and windows, simplicity and elegance are the aspects of this monumental complex that gives great prestige to the university. Over the year, Building 6 of the university opens up to the city as a meeting place for the area. With the Auditorium and a large exhibition space - prestigious venues for concerts, congresses, cultural and artistic events - IULM is strengthening its position as a multi-purpose cultural centre for the city of Milan.
