<y aim to conduct a site inspection and prepare 6afety management report to <ichelin India (yres $!t &td. I inspected the site on 0>10>201# around10.00 %< . <ichelin India (yres $!t &td is a multinational company producing hea!y !ehicle tyres with international standard of safety. It’s located in a !illage named (her!oyikandigai, 0 km away from *hennai city. %t the time of inspection both construction and

production is going on at different location. *onstruction work is in its final stage. *onstruction site spread an area of 00 acres land and total proect !alue is 1000

crores. In construction site I found nearly 1000 people were working and they were from different states of India like ihar, ?est engal, (amilnadu and Berala. (hey are using languages like 7indi, (amil, engali and <alayalam. I obser!e lot of construction

acti!ities like roof sheet fiing, pipe fiing on pipe rack, cable laying on the cable tray,  people were working on scaffold, lifting and shifting of construction materials and hot

work’s like welding and gas cutting . @or construction acti!ities and transport purpose, lot of machineries and !ehicles were using such as forklift, boom lift, scissor lift,

different types of cranes, do"er, dumper, trailers, buses and light motor !ehicles. I use the methodologies like obser!ations from the site, referring pre!ious incident >accident in!estigation report, risk assessment method and collect information’s by consulting with eperienced and /ualified +76 <anagers and officers of the client and contractors. It’s a foreign based company following international standards like 76%6 181 and I6 9001 in safety. uring inspection time I found some good obser!ations, procedures and unsafe condition and act in the site. %ccording to the inspection it’s found that all o!er safety culture of the company is good and appreciable.

In a !ery big area and large number of workers it’s difficult to control and reduce ha"ardous condition. 6ome of the ha"ards identified are highlighting for concentrating and taking necessary actions to eliminate or reducing it. <anagement want to take more care on ha"ardous areas like electrical cable passing through scaffolding pipe and metal pipe , improper stacking of dangerous materials and gas cylinders, lifting and shifting of materials using mobile crane without rigger and proper barrication, eca!ated area without edge protection and workers stand on the edge without any fall arrest system ,!iolation of $$+’s like without ade/uate $$+’s workers handling cement and other chemicals can cause acute and chronic diseases, eplosion and fire , contact inury, fatal inury and death.
