<y aim to conduct a site inspection and prepare 6afety management report to <ichelin India (yres $!t &td. I inspected the site on 0>10>201# around10.00 %< . <ichelin India (yres $!t &td is a multinational company producing hea!y !ehicle tyres with international standard of safety. It’s located in a !illage named (her!oyikandigai, 0 km away from *hennai city. %t the time of inspection both construction and
production is going on at different location. *onstruction work is in its final stage. *onstruction site spread an area of 00 acres land and total proect !alue is 1000
crores. In construction site I found nearly 1000 people were working and they were from different states of India like ihar, ?est engal, (amilnadu and Berala. (hey are using languages like 7indi, (amil, engali and <alayalam. I obser!e lot of construction
acti!ities like roof sheet fiing, pipe fiing on pipe rack, cable laying on the cable tray, people were working on scaffold, lifting and shifting of construction materials and hot
work’s like welding and gas cutting . @or construction acti!ities and transport purpose, lot of machineries and !ehicles were using such as forklift, boom lift, scissor lift,
different types of cranes, do"er, dumper, trailers, buses and light motor !ehicles. I use the methodologies like obser!ations from the site, referring pre!ious incident >accident in!estigation report, risk assessment method and collect information’s by consulting with eperienced and /ualified +76 <anagers and officers of the client and contractors. It’s a foreign based company following international standards like 76%6 181 and I6 9001 in safety. uring inspection time I found some good obser!ations, procedures and unsafe condition and act in the site. %ccording to the inspection it’s found that all o!er safety culture of the company is good and appreciable.

7erewith I submit this report aim to reduce the risk and incident>accident rate of the site. n the inspection time I obser!e a lot of unsafe condition and act at site at the same time employer pro!ide some good facilities and arrangements for the workers. %s an +76 person it’s my duty to reduce and eliminate the ha"ardous condition and ensure a safe
en!ironment for the workers. *ompanies all o!erall health and safety culture is good. (he management and +76 persons were hard working for reduce the ha"ardous
situation. ood facilities like emergency point with signage board, drinking and washing water in separate tank, permanent barricade for the walkway in ramp area and first aid bo fied on e!ery construction acti!ity going on building. In a !ery big area and large number of workers it’s difficult to control and reduce ha"ardous condition. 6ome of the ha"ards identified are highlighting for concentrating and taking necessary actions to eliminate or reducing it. <anagement want to take more care on ha"ardous areas like electrical cable passing through scaffolding pipe and metal pipe , improper stacking of dangerous materials and gas cylinders, lifting and shifting of materials using mobile crane without rigger and proper barrication, eca!ated area without edge protection and workers stand on the edge without any fall arrest system ,!iolation of $$+’s like without ade/uate $$+’s workers handling cement and other chemicals can cause acute and chronic diseases, eplosion and fire , contact inury, fatal inury and death. If the
employer didn’t take any necessary action it will cause for increase the incident>accident at site. %ny accident is happened in site, it will affect the labours physically and mentally. iolence can increase and it may lead to strike. It will damage reputation of the company and loss of further orders. &egal or organisational fine and punishment like
imprisonment and corporate probation orders. It will increase the incident>accident rate which can affect the temporary or permanently closure of the business. It will decrease the production and morality of the employee. +liminate or reduce these ha"ardous conditions from the site gi!es safe working en!ironment for the employee. It reduces the incident>accident rate of the company and which sa!e money and reputation of the company. It will help to increase the production and competence le!el of the employee. It will sa!e the insuredE uninsured cost and e/uipment repairing and replacing cost.
