Designed for multi-injector endurance testing, the
ETB
Test Bench can
optio-nally provide shot-to-shot mass measurement. The injectors are precisely
sub-ject to variable controls and hydraulic pressures to
establish accelerated aging
cycles that reproduce the life of a vehicle
. Test program cycling can be
automa-ted and results are measured and stored for engineering review.
EFS’ distributed bench control delivers dedicated, dynamic control response
with stability. But just as important, EFS’ test bench architecture delivers
built-in diagnostics and monitorbuilt-ing connections to built-increase up-time and peace of
mind.

Various nozzles can be tes-ted by simply fixing adap-tations and circuit connec-tions.
Each injector is fit-ted with pressure and temperature sensors to monitor the evolu-tion of leak or return flow to determine du-rability state.

High pressure
High pressure rail EFS
A main rail capacity of 250 cm3
accumulates the test fluid at high pressure to feed the sub-rail configuration of actual vehicle operation.
Max pressure: 3000 bar
• Length: 350 mm • Diameter: 150 mm • Connections HP pump inlet •
Three outputs to vehicule rails
•
Pressure transmitter
•
Safety valve
•
Rupture disc 2500B DESP 97/23 IV
•
Standard reference sensor
•
Two inputs / outputs reserve.
•
The high pressure pump is controlled by the HPC - a de-dicated controller providing fast, tight control and safety monitoring. Software setup provides flexible control for any pump.
Pressure: 2000 bar (higher option)
•
Fixed speed: 3000 rpm
•
Direction of rotation: anti-clockwise.
6
Descriptive
Low pressure
The oil supply to the bench is provided by a low pressure pump motor.
The 40 l primary tank
sup-•
plies the low pressure pump with 3 µm filtered fluid.
The pressure can be adjusted
•
via an overflow.
The circuit low pressure
•
feeds the high pressure pump.
Chassis
- Type: 8689 - Dimensions (mm): 1590 x 1000 x 1800Descriptive

Cabinet
Integral to the side of the bench, it includes the following elements:
Soft starter, HP pump brake
•
and booster pump,
Security and safety modules,
•
PLC
•
Power supply module,
• Relays, fuses ... • Electrical characteristics Type: 3P + N + E • Voltage: 400 V • Frequency: 50 /60 Hz • Power: 23 kVA •
Hydraulics drawer
The hydraulic drawer is located at the front of the bench, and comprises:
Primary tank of 40 liters
•
for supplying the oil to the injection pump,
Control of feeding pressure,
•
Temperature regulation of
•
the test fluid (oil / water), and
A precise filtering of the test
•
fluid.
This tank is equipped with security features (level sensors, temperature sensor, safety valve and thermostat).
8
Starting the test only after locking the cover
Control of the drive motors (soft start)
Double checks at primary tank:- Temperature of the test fluid (temperature sensor and thermostat) - Fluid level test: two level sensors (critical and security)
Check the pressure sensor and mechanical components of the highpres-sure rail (safety valve and breaking disc)
Two emergency stop buttons (punch)
Extraction of hydrocarbon vapors.
This bench is equipped with an interlocking keyed system to protectagainst incorrect locking and unlocking.
Monitoring the temperature of the test fluid contained in the primary tank is ensured by the automatic bench.
Monitoring primary tray
Temperature sensor allows
•
for regulation Two level sensors
•
A 70 °C pre-set thermostat
•
prohibits exceeding this temperature in this tray (bench stopped).

Interlock system
Emergency stop
The cover is made of aluminum profile with a polycarbonate window. Security is managed by the PLC.
Opening allowed only if the
pres-•
sure is below the minimum pres-sure (P < Pmin) set in the HPC. Opening allowed only if the
nozz-•
le outlet temperature (measured by a PT100 sensor) is less than 50 °C.
The test bench is equipped with two emergency stop but-tons: on the bench and on the measurement cabinet.
A controller monitors the main functions of the test bench auto-matically and continuously. In the event of a detected fault on a device, it initiate an emer-gency stop.
10
Measurement cabinet
Separate from the bench operating environment control, the ETB Bench
su-pervisory software precisely and reliably configures and queues endurance
cycles that are controlled through the fast responding, dedicated
distribu-ted controllers and the injector drive controller.
The ETB Supervisory software also provides system monitoring of injectors
under test.
Software
Measurement cabinet includes:
Industrial PC on which the
software is installed (cycle ma-nagement and data archiving) Rail high pressure controller
