NOTES AND DEFINITIONS

Scheduled Operation: These are regular paid flights, which

are flights operated for remuneration and according to a

published schedule (or so regularly that they constitute an

identifiable systematic series), which the public can book

directly.

Passengers Transported: These are paid passengers, that is,

all passengers for whose transport the airline receives

commercial remuneration.

Cargo Transported: This is the paid cargo, that is, all cargo

for which the airline receives commercial remuneration.

Revenue passenger-kilometers (RPK): The sum of the

products obtained by multiplying the number of revenue

passengers transported in each flight stage by the

corresponding distance of the stage.

Available seat-kilometers (ASK): The sum of the products

obtained by multiplying the number of seats available at

each flight stage by the corresponding distance from the

stage.

Passenger Load Factor (PLF): Ratio of division of RPK by

ASK.

Flight Hours: Total time elapsed from the moment the

aircraft begins to move under its own power to taxi and take

off, until the moment it stops at the end of the flight (block

to block).

Distance Flown: Obtained from the calculation of the

orthodromic distance between the Origin Airport and the

Destination Airport.

Trend Curves: The trend curves are shown where the
