The HMK Group
Company
Dipl.Ing. Helmut Mühl-Kühner founded the company HMK in October 1995 in Kronberg near Frankfurt/Main, Germany. He is using his international management experience gained at large corporations like Motorola, Rolm, Convex and Rasna.on creating an organization, which offers high tech companies access to the European market.
Today HMK has approx. 500 end users world-wide, which are distributed across multiple business units. In 2006, with 35 employees HMK achieved a revenue of €5.5 million. Right now HMK has 50 employees.
Strategy
HMK sees itself as your know-how partner, which offers products and services for data management and security markets. For innovative companies we provide fast and effective access to the European market by representing them in Europe, carrying out direct sales activities and providing consulting and support directly to end-users. In addition, we develop alternative sales channels and sell products through system integrators or other retail partners.
Target Markets
The products represented by our group are often used in data centers of middle to large enterprises and organizations such as major research-facility centers and universities. Customers with commercial or technical/scientific applications, who must continuously move or store large quantities of data, will also find market leading open systems solutions here.
Concerning our backup and recovery software solutions, we can rely on a number of service providers to offer services/support for small and medium sized businesses".

Storage & Data Management
The Data Management business is conducted by HMK Computer Technologies GmbH in Europe and HMK Computer LLC in the USA. Our goal is to keep the increasing data volume available for business continuance requirements and to protect against data loss at all times while working with constant or shrinking budgets. We help by providing supplier-independent consulting to analyze storage requirements and offer solutions, whose service-oriented architecture leads to cost savings. The key of such solutions are software products, which map data access or safety requirements in the form of rules (SLAs) onto the Storage infrastructure. HMK offers software products and services, which meet the requirements for a centralized data storage concept with the following emphasis:

We provide support for the conception, product selection, and implementation of complete solutions.

IT-Security & Access
The IT-Security business is pursued by HMK DKEY Europe GmbH in the entire EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region.
For the last couple of years we have been selling the products of Safenet / Datakey, a company delivering reliable smart card-based solutions for securing enterprise-wide personal identification.
Safenet / Datakey has a 15-year history of delivering smart card-based security solutions worldwide to highly discriminating clients in the large corporate, government and financial services industries. Their established history and widespread exposure to such a large number of demanding customer environments has allowed them to maintain their technology lead, providing better products and more responsive service than any other smart card developer.
Safenet / Datakey designs its cryptographic smart cards, client software, desktop applications and card management products to be easier and more flexible to use than any other smart card product, for a complete range of enterprise security applications - everything from physical access to buildings to network log-on, password management, remote network access and encrypted/digitally signed communications.
Turn Key Media Workflow Solutions
Complete solutions for customers in the prepress and multimedia area are supplied from our subsidiary eo ipso Systeme GmbH. These solutions permit you to concentrate on your entire workflow, without having to worry about details of the storage infrastructure. You always get your data when you need it – even if you operate completely in a Macintosh environment.
