SCCM Application Catalog
Self-service portal for app subscriptionWhat is the Application Catalog?
1. Web-based Self-Service portal for users to subscribe to applications made available to them (Shopping Cart). Also allows requisitions handled by workflows.
2. The most appropriate DT is chosen based on the user’s environment.
3. Subscriptions are static to a user-device pair. Freshly reevaluated each time. They don’t roam!
4. XenApp DT apps are handled by the Citrix Thor plug-in.

Virtual Machine Manager 2012
• The Problem:
• VMM 2008 R2 scale issues as you approach 1000 VMs
• Causes problems for larger PoC
• Damages joint-solution and strategic partnership credibility
• The Solution:
• Six month joint development and testing effort with the Microsoft VMM team
• Optimization and bug-fix work to ensure scalability of joint solution (PVS & MCS)
• Extensive time in Microsoft EEC lab testing at scale
• The Results:
• Joint XenDesktop 5.6 / VMM 2012 solution verified scale to 2000+ desktops per VMM instance (PVS & MCS)
• Microsoft publishing joint solution Reference Architecture & Design Guide (PVS only)
