Handbook Reminders for December

Emergency School Closing:

St. Edward Catholic School & Pre School normally follows Illinois

Valley Central High School's schedule when it comes to closing or early

dismissal. Severe weather conditions during the winter months may

warrant the closing of school. Announcement of such closings would

be posted as early as possible. The announcement will be on all the

television stations, and if you see IVC closed, please also look for St.

Edward School to be closed as well. If you have been receiving our

weekly updates and phone calls, you will receive a phone call and/or an

email from the school indicating that school has been closed, may have

a late start, or be dismissed early.

HELP US RECYCLE AND EARN!

St. Edward School participates in a fundraising-thru-recycling program that helps us earn supplies, equipment, even cash simply by collecting the following:

• Empty inkjet and laser cartridges • Used cell phones

• Small electronics (digital cameras, laptops, mp3 players, GPS devices)

Please help us by donating these items to us. We have collection boxes located in the front hall of the school by the office.

• Aluminum can recycling bin in the parking lot open to the general public to recycle cans. Proceeds go to debt reduction efforts.

St. Edward Students Surpass Canned Food Collection Goal!

Congratulations are extended to all of the students and families at St. Edward Catholic

School & Pre School for a job well done with the canned food drive this year. Student Council challenged all classes to surpass last years count. At the end of the drive the students
