Overview
The ThinkPad Advanced Ultrabay Battery III is a rechargeable battery that fits in the ThinkPad Ultrabay device bay. Together with the system battery, it can extend user mobility and unplugged computing time.
Battery life (and recharge times) will vary based on many factors including screen brightness, applications, features, power management, battery conditioning, and other customer preferences.
Note: When operating disconnected from AC power, the ThinkPad notebook will operate on the Ultrabay Battery III until it is discharged, then switch over to the system battery. When operating on AC power, the system battery will be recharged first, then the Ultrabay Battery III. This provides maximum unplugged computing time should the Ultrabay Battery III be removed in order to use another Ultrabay device.
