JBO thread gauges and inspection machine mountings made to drawings or samples or specially designed for particular customer applications.

Inspection machine mounting (1)

for checking the radial runout of external threads. Manufacturing tolerance for radial and axial runout ≤ 0,01 mm. HSS TiCN coated GO plug gauge (2) with adjustable screw-in depth. NOT GO plug gauge (3) for checking deep seated threads. Thread plug limit gauge (4) with adjustable depth stop for ensuring the required thread depth. Thread plug limit gauge (5) with increased stem diameter for checking small, deep seated threads.

GO thread plug gauge (6) with hexagon shank for quick mounting in inspection machine.

HSS TiCN coated GO plug gauges

(7+8) with dirt collecting groove for mechanised inspection.

The TiCN (Balzers) coated thread gauges are extremely wear resistant and have excellent anti-friction properties. Gauge life is thereby increased about tenfold. The check intervals can therefore be increased appreciably which means further cost savings.

Inspection and documentation conform to pages 23 and 24 of the guidelines No. 2618 issued by the VDI (Association of German Engineers), the VDE (Association of German Electrical Engineers) and the DGQ (German Society for Quality Promotion). Mahr 828 measuring machines and an IAC Master Scanner are used for inspection.

Ring gauges for the threads listed in our catalogue with major dia meters ≥ 2 mm and pitches

≥ 0,35 mm are checked by the three ball method.

Both gauge and inspection certifi-cate bear the same serial number.

Used gauges that already have a serial number retain that number. If any gauges sent to us for che-cking are no longer within the spe-cified tolerances and are

replaced by new gauges, no charge is made for the inspection of the discarded gauges.

Subject to a surcharge, we can also extend the inspection to include the thread angle and the pitch, as well as the major diameter on thread plug gauges and the minor diameter on thread ring gauges. For permanent protection, we supply our thread gauges in individual transparent packing.

MultiCheck Gewindelehrdorn

In der zerspanenden Bearbeitung von mecha-nischen Bauteilen gewinnt das Kombinieren und somit das Zusammenfassen von möglichst vie-len Operationen in ein Werkzeugsystem immer mehr an Bedeutung. Durch diesen Effekt erzielt der Anwender eine enorme Zeiteinsparnis. Die Zeit einsparung beim Zerspanen wird durch Kombinationswerkzeuge gelöst.

Nach der Bearbeitung kommt ein weiterer Zeitfaktor auf den Anwender zu, das Prüfen der Gewindelehrenhaltigkeit auf eine vor gegebene Gewindetiefe.

Bisher wurde in ein Innengewinde ein Gewindegrenzlehrdorn einge schraubt und anschließend etwas umständlich durch Tiefenmessung mit Meßschieber die Gewindetiefe ermittelt.

Um diese Aufgabe wesentlich zeiteinspa-render und exakter durch führen zu können hat JBO einen kombinierten Gewindelehrdorn mit Tiefenmesshülse ins Fertigungs- und Lieferprogramm aufgenommen. Dieser Lehrdorn mit der Bezeichnung „MultiCheck“ ermöglicht nach dem Einschrauben des Messbolzens das Ablesen der Gewindetiefe

auf einer Meßhülse bis 3x Gewindenenndurchmesser.

MultiCheck Thread Plug Gauge

In the machining of mechanical parts, ever more importance is being attached to com-bining as many operations as possible with a single tooling system. An enormous amount of time can be saved thereby, in the case of metal cutting operations by the use of combination tools.

After thread cutting however, checking of the thread over a specified depth with a thread gauge is yet another time consuming process. Up to now, a plug limit gauge has been screwed into internal threads, followed by the somewhat cumbersome measuring of the thread depth with a Vernier depth gauge. To enable this task to be carried appreciably faster and more accurately, we have added the „MultiCheck“ thread plug gauge with depth measuring sleeve to the JBO product range. When this plug gauge

has been screwed in, the depth of the thread up to 3x nominal thread diameter can be read off the scale on the sleeve accurate to 0.5 mm. If this does not suffice, a Vernier MultiCheck with 0.1 mm resolution or a digital readout MultiCheck with 0.01 mm resolution can be used.

Manufacture of „MultiCheck“ thread plug gauges

All our thread gauges are manufactured in our Albstadt works. Our QM system has received DIN EN ISO 9001 certification. The final inspection and calibration of our thread gauges is carried out in our climate con-trolled metrology laboratory using the ultra modern measuring machi-nes traceable to national and international reference standards.

JBO Prüfzertifikate

JBO Prüfzertifikate entsprechen den Nachweisforderungen zur Prüf-mittelüberwachung der DIN EN ISO 9001:2000. Diese fordert die Kali-brierung von Meßmitteln z.B. Gewindelehren unter Verwendung von Messnormalen. Auf Wunsch erstellen wir Ihnen Abnahmeprüfzeugnisse (Prüfzertifikate) gemäß DIN EN 10204 3.1.B wobei die Rückführbarkeit auf nationale und internationale Messnormale sichergestellt ist. Die Kalibrierung von gebrauchten Gewindelehren erledigen wir für Sie innerhalb von wenigen Tage.

MultiCheck Inspection Certificates

JBO inspection certificates comply with the requirements of the DIN EN ISO 9001-2000 standard for monitoring inspection equipment. These requirements specify that measuring equipment, such as thread gauges, must be calibrated using reference standards. On request we can issue inspection certificates that conform to DIN EN 10204 3.1.B and are traceable to national and international reference standards. Calibration of used thread gauges can be carried out by us within a few days.
