5.3 Negotiating Conflicts in Understanding

5.3.3 Controlling Context

Principales

En niños y adolescentes, la asociación negativa entre los niveles de fitness cardiorrespiratorio y factores de riesgo metabólico, parece más fuerte que la observada respecto a los mismos factores y la actividad física desarrollada.

Se propone una asociación no dependiente entre la actividad física desarrollada y el nivel de fitness cardiorrespiratorio en relación a los factores de riesgo metabólico analizados.

Tanto en niños como en adolescentes, el nivel de fitness cardiorrespiratorio se asoció negativamente con el Marcador Global de Riesgo Metabólico, manteniéndose esa relación en niños y niñas aun cuando se excluyera la adiposidad del conjunto de factores de riesgo analizados.

Secundarias

Los niños y los adolescentes de nuestro estudio realizaban más actividad física que las niñas y las adolescentes de E. Primaria y E. Secundaria, respectivamente.

Los niños y los adolescentes de nuestro estudio obtuvieron valores más elevados de fitness cardiorrespiratorio que las niñas y las adolescentes de E. Primaria y E. Secundaria, respectivamente.

Los niños y niñas de E. Primaria se mostraron más activos que los adolescentes de E. Secundaria, mientras que los valores de fitness cardiorrespiratorio fueron más elevados en adolescentes de 15 años, independientemente del género.

Únicamente la actividad física moderada-vigorosa mostró una correlación negativa en niños y niñas de E. Primaria con el Marcador Global de Riesgo Metabólico, desapareciendo esa relación al excluir la adiposidad del conjunto de factores de riesgo analizados.
