The following table lists incorrect display errors:

The SVP might not be ready to perform some write processes from the other system. Wait awhile and then click File > Refresh. If the SVP is not restored, click Refresh All.
2 Only the Exit button and the Refresh All command are effective when accessing the SVP from the Storage Navigator computer.
An error may have occurred in the SVP. Click File >
Refresh All. If the SVP is not restored, log in to Storage Navigator again.
3 You opened the Basic Information Display dialog box, and then you opened a dialog box for another software product before thedisplay process (acquiring information for the Basic Information Display dialog box) is finished.
Close the other product’s dialog box. After
processing for the Basic Information Display dialog box completes, reopen the dialog box for the other software product.
Error condition Probable cause / Recommended action 4 The commands in the Go menu are
unavailable.
The required software options might not be installed or an error might occur on the window that appears after you click the command.
Make sure that all the required software options are installed. If they are installed, perform one of the following operations.
• Click File > Refresh.
• Click File > Refresh All.
• Log in to Storage Navigator again.
5 When you switch windows from one window to the Storage Navigator window, the Storage Navigator window is not displayed.
• Close all windows, and then log in to Storage Navigator again.
• In the Java Control Panel, click the Temporary Internet Files section. In the Disk Space area, enter 1 MB, and then click Delete Files.
• In the Java Control Panel, click Security.
Ensure that Enable Java content in the browser is checked.
• Clear the browser cache.
• Ensure that Java Plug-in is enabled.
If none of the above actions solve the problem, the web browser might not recognize Plug-in correctly.
Initialize and set the web browser settings again.
6 The items in a list are not synchronized with a
scroll bar. Click the scroll buttons ( or ) above and below
the scroll bar.
7 The focus disappears from the edit box. Close all dialog boxes, and then log in to Storage Navigator again.
8 The web browser does not display correctly, because some GUI items such as labels and icons cannot be loaded properly.
Log out of Storage Navigator, and then log in again. If this error occurs before you log in to the Storage Navigator, close all dialog boxes and then log in to Storage Navigator.
9 The characters are unreadable because they
are overlapped or garbled. Log out of Storage Navigator, and then log in again.
10 The characters are garbled in a window where
a tree is displayed. Click File > Refresh.
11 Even though you have clicked Apply to change storage system settings, the new settings are not displayed in Storage Navigator.
Click File > Refresh.
12 The dialog box that says Loading... stays open for a long period of time.
A Storage Navigator message dialog box other than the dialog box that says Loading... might be displayed behind this window. Press Alt and Tab to switch the dialog box.
If the dialog box that says Loading... remains displayed for several hours after you apply the settings to the storage system, contact customer support.
Error condition Probable cause / Recommended action 13 A question mark (?) displays in a table or
other area of the window.
• When the question mark appears in the View Tier Properties window, see the topic describing this window in the Provisioning Guide for Open Systems. If the problem still persists, contact customer support.
• When the question mark appears in the Add External Volumes window, see the topic describing this window in the Hitachi Universal Volume Manager User Guide. If the problem still persists, contact customer support.
• If the question mark appears in another window, refresh the window. Contact customer support if the question mark remains after you refresh the window.
14 The product name, vendor name, and function name displayed in Storage Navigator are incorrect.
Contact customer support.
15 A part of the Storage Navigator window is not displayed.
You may be using the zoom in and zoom out function of the web browser. Do not use this function of the web browser when using Storage Navigator.
16 The following information does not display on Storage Navigator windows:
• Information on the storage system, such as ports or HDDs
• Information configured with another Storage Navigator computer
Click File > Refresh.
If the problem continues, close all Storage Navigator windows, and then clear the Java and Web browser caches.
17 The display on Storage Navigator's main window is not updated to the latest information. “Last Updated” on Storage Navigator's main window is not updated.
Volume Migration operations, Quick Restore operations, or Thin Image operations may be in progress. The window will be refreshed shortly after the operations end.
18 The following message is displayed when connected to Storage Navigator on Internet Explorer.
“Alternate HTML content should be placed here. This content requires the Adobe Flash Player. Get Flash.”
This message displays when Flash Player is not installed. Do the following:
• Install Flash Player
• Disable ActiveX Filtering
If you are using Internet Explorer 9 or later, click Tools > Safety and uncheck ActiveX Filtering.
19 When many items are set, some items might not be displayed even if you scroll through the table.
Depending on the size of a window, some items in a table might not be displayed. Do the following:
1. Increase the resolution so that more areas of the table can be shown.
2. Use the zoom in or zoom out function of your browser (scroll the mouse wheel while pressing the Ctrl key) to adjust the viewing area.
Note: The text might become too small.
If you still cannot solve the problem, contact customer support.
Error condition Probable cause / Recommended action 20 The message "Unable to launch the
application" appears on the secondary window, then operation ends abnormally.
This error might occur when TLSv1.0 and TLSv1.1 communication is disabled.
Perform the following:
• For JRE6: Install JRE7 or later (JRE8 or later is recommended).
• For JRE7: Install JRE8 or later (recommended);
Use TLS 1.2 is disabled by default. Enable Use TLS 1.2.
• For JRE8 and Linux: Confirm that Use TLS 1.2 is enabled.
