3.2 Functions / Operation

3.2.34 Operating Menu

 Password

Password (1)

You can allocate a password to lock the operating menu.

Entering the password:

Use the number keys (2) to enter a password consisting of 5 digits.

Confirm the password with the "Enter" key .

Enter the same password once again.

Now confirm the password once again by pressing the "Enter" key .

The password has now been saved and you will automatically return to the main menu.

Altering the password or cancelling the password for the menu lock:

Press the key F2 „No PWD“.

By pressing the key F8 „Exit“ you can return to the main menu (

Time, date (1) Setting the values:

Time

F1 „-“ = Reduce the minutes.

F2 „+“ = Increase the minutes.

F3 „++“ = Increase by a 1/4 of an hour.

Date

F5 „+“ = Increase the days.

F6 „+“ = Increase the months.

F7 „+“ = Increase the years.

By pressing the key F8 „Exit“ you can return to the main menu (

 Offset Adjustment on the Travel Drive Pumps

Ensure you can easily reach the emergency STOP button (



3.2.7) when performing the offset adjustment because the machine can unintentionally be put into motion.

Keep an adequate safety distance to persons, buildings and other obstacles.

It is prohibited for persons to be in the danger zone.

Procedure:

The machine must be parked on level ground.

The screed must be raised and safely secured in the transport locking device.

Start the Diesel engine (



3.2.3).

Increase the engine speed to MAX.

(



3.2.4).

Wait until the machine has reached operating temperature.

Offset Adjustment (1):

Press the key F3 „Start“.

Push the drive lever (2) (



3.2.8) to the forward travel position (3).

The LH travel drive pump will now be calibrated.

When the offset end value has been reached, an arrow will flash next to the indicator.

Now push the drive lever (2) (



3.2.8) to the reverse travel position (4).

Wait until the offset end value has been reached and the arrow flashes next to the indicator.

Now return the drive lever (2) (



3.2.8) to the neutral position.

The offset adjustment to the LH travel drive pump has now been completed.

Now press the key F5 „Start“.

Now perform the above procedure on the RH travel drive pump until all offset values have been reached.

If the offset adjustment has failed, a warning symbol (2) will appear on the LCD screen (1).

In this case, repeat the offset adjustment procedure.

If this fails once again, contact our service department.

By pressing the key F8 „Exit“ or the „Enter“ key you can return to the main menu

By performing the offset adjustment, the starting values for the travel drive pumps are calibrated.

The offset adjustment must be performed if the paver does not travel in a straight line.

Always calibrate both pumps one after the other.

The offset adjustment process can be stopped at any time by returning the drive lever

(



3.2.8) to the neutral position.

After completing the offset adjustment, put the paver into motion in the (L) paving speed stage.

Repeat the procedure if irregularities still occur when putting the paver into motion.

 List of messages

You can call up the coded error messages in numerical order in the list of messages (1).

The total number of messages is shown at the top LH side.

The highest number is the last message in the list.

To scroll through the pages:

Forwards – press the key F1 „+“.

Backwards – press the key F2 „-“.

By pressing the key F8 „Exit“ you can return to the main menu (

The list informs you of the paver's sequence of messages.

To remedy the cause, inform our service department of the list of messages.

 Remote data diagnosis

The remote data diagnosis application (1) is used for transmitting the machine's current status via a mobile telephone equipped with

"blue tooth".

Read the instruction leaflet for your mobile phone for this application.

Procedure:

Switch off the electrical power supply (



3.2.1) before plugging in the data transmission stick (A).

Plug the data transmission stick (A) into the maintenance socket on the control panel (



3.1.1) and turn the bayonet catch until it locks.

Switch on the electrical power supply (



3.2.1).

Press the menu change key to go from the standard menu to the main menu

(



3.2.31).

Then select the "operator menu bar".

Press the key F5 = remote data diagnosis (1) (



3.2.34).

Searching for a mobile telephone:

Press the key F1 „Search“.

The control panel will then search for all mobile telephones with a transmitting ability which are switched on within a radius of approx. 10 m.

The symbol for the telephone and the output signal (2) will flash during the search process.

After the search process is finished, all mobile phones located will be shown in the boxes (3) together with their recognition.

Using the mobile telephone:

Press the key F3 „Use“ - the mobile telephone (5) selected will be indicated and used for the subsequent connection.

"Select" the type of connection required to our service department:

Press the key F5 „Select“ until you have marked the kind of connection required in boxes (8).

Passive dial up to our service department:

Select = „Wait for call“.

Active dial up to our service department:

Select = (one of the two possible telephone numbers in the lower two boxes (8) which you can enter using the numbered input keys (



3.1.5).

Dial up to our service department:

Press the key F6 „Start“ - the connection you have selected will be shown next to the

"Telephone No.:" (7) and then be dialled.

Telephone link via „Bluetooth":

Confirm the enquiry on your mobile telephone with "Yes".

After setting up the link to your mobile

telephone, enter the factory PIN: 656671 into your mobile phone so that the connection to the control panel is completely enabled.

„Connecting“:

Confirm the enquiry on your mobile telephone with "Yes".

The connection will now be set up; the arrow (4) and the remote diagnosing symbol (6) will light up.

Please Note:

If you change the password (



3.2.34), you will also alter the factory PIN .

You must enter the changed PIN (your personal password) for a new connection.

It is not necessary to enter the PIN once again on mobile telephones which have already been linked to the control panel.

Terminate the connection with our service department:

Press the key F7 „Terminate“ - and the dialled-up connection will be terminated.

By pressing the key F8 „Exit“ you can return to the main menu (

Removing the data transmission stick:

Switch off the electrical power supply (



3.2.1) before removing the data transmission stick (A).

Turn and release the bayonet catch and then remove the data transmission stick (A) from the maintenance socket on the control panel (



3.1.1).

Keep the data transmission stick (A) in a safe place on the machine.

The "Warning" symbol will appear if:

(9) = the data transmission stick (A) has been removed, it is faulty or this option has not been purchased with the paver.

(10) = the mobile telephone suppresses the connection to the control panel, it is located outside a radius of approx. 10 m or it is not suitable for this application.

(11) = you have selected a box (8) without a telephone number.

Remote diagnosing symbol (6) + (12) in the operating and standard menus:

lights up = a connection has been made between the mobile telephone and the control panel.

Flashes = a connection between the remote station (service department) and the mobile telephone has been set up.

Please Note:

After the service department has terminated the connection, the connection to mobile telephone will be automatically terminated.

The remote diagnosing symbols (6) + (12) will stop flashing, light up for a short time and then extinguish.

The connection has now been completely terminated.

 System diagnosis menu

The functions of this menu may only be used in cooperation with the Volvo service (e.g. during a troubleshooting via

telephone).

F1 = LED Test F2 = ECU Monitor

F8 = return to operating menu (



3.2.31).

Access to the LED test menu is only possible with the engine switched off.

Use F1 to check, if all LED's are on.

When pressing each key the electronics system checks, if the actuation has been recognized correctly. The key on the menu will then turn green or grey.

Press F8 to return to system diagnostics menu.

In the menu ECU Monitor you can read the value of the inputs and outputs of the respective ECU's .

F1 = ECU1 F2 = ECU2 F3 = ECU3 F4 = ECU4

Press F8 to return to system diagnostics menu.

Main menu View of the:

locked operating menu (1).

To unlock the operating menu:

press the key F1.

Enter your password (2) using he number keys (3).

The operating menu (1) is now unlocked.

You can now access the entire menu bar (4).

To lock the operating menu:

Press the key F8.

The operating menu is now locked.

By pressing the menu change key , you can return to the standard menu
