3.2 Functions / Operation

3.2.16 Screed Floating Mode On / Off

The paver will react differently depending on the load on the machine and its configuration.

Keep an adequate safety distance to persons, buildings and other obstacles.

It is prohibited for persons to be in the danger zone.

Procedure:

The floating mode (1) will only function after the screed has been completely lowered to the ground with the key (2).

Switching on the floating mode:

Press the key (1), the LED will light up.

Switching off the floating mode:

Press the key (1), the LED will extinguish.

Secure the screed in the screed locking device for maintenance and transport purposes.

Immediately switch on the floating mode (1) when you start paving.

3.2.17 Vario Screed Section LH + RH Extend / Retract (

How to change the paving width:

Extending the Vario screed sections:

LH = press the key (1).

RH = press the key (4).

Retracting the Vario screed sections:

LH = press the key (2).

RH = press the key (3).

You can react to changes in the paving width whereby the machine maintains its direction of travel.

3.2.18 Electric Heating Menu On / Off (



3.1.3)

Closely observe your locally prevailing laws and directives for using heating systems as installed on your machine.

Wear protective clothing during operation.

There is a danger of injuries caused by hot components.

Electric heating menu: Press the key (1) and the menu for the heating (3) will appear in the lower section of the screen.

Setting the desired temperature on the LH Vario section:

Reduce = press F1 „-“.

Increase = press F2 „+“.

Setting the desired temperature on the basic screed:

Reduce = press F3 „-“.

Increase = press F4 „+“.

Setting the desired temperature on the RH Vario section:

Reduce = press F1 „-“.

Increase = press F2 „+“.

The actual temperatures measured will appear on the screed symbolised in the screen. The comparison between the desired and

measured temperatures is automatically made when the heating is switched on provided the automatic mode for the electric heating has been switched on in the switch cabinet.

By pressing the "Enter" key (4), you will return to the standard menu (

To switch on the electric heating:

Press the key (2), the LED will light up.

3.2.19 Tamper Menu On / Off (

Keep away from moving and rotating machine components.

Keep all protective covers closed during operation.

It is prohibited for persons to be in the danger zone.

Tamper menu:

Press the key (1) and the menu for the tampers (3) will appear in the lower section of the screen.

Selecting the settings:

Manual = press F1 „MAN“.

Automatic = press F2 „AUTO“.

Increasing the tamper speed:

step by step = press the key F6 „+“.

maximum = press the key F7 „MAX“.

Reducing the tamper speed:

step by step = press the key F5 „-“.

minimum = press the key F4 „MIN“.

By pressing the "Enter" key (4), you will return to the standard menu (

Switching on the tampers:

Press the key (2), the LED lights up.

Switching off the tampers:

Press the key (2), the LED extinguishes.

Depending on the mode selected, the tampers will either be switched on and off by the drive lever in the "AUTO" mode or run continuously in the "MAN" mode.

The last tamper setting made will remain unchanged when the machine starts paving again (

3.2.19 Tamper Menu On / Off continued

Adjust the tamper speed to suit the material being paved.

At a correct tamper speed, the screed will lay smoothly on the paved mat and only minor vibrations are noticed.

Do not run the tampers too fast as this may lead to grain destruction in the paving material.

3.2.20 Vibration Menu On / Off (

Vibration menu:

Press the key (1) and the menu for the

vibration (3) will appear in the lower section of the screen.

Selecting the settings:

Manual = press F1 „MAN“.

Automatic = press F2 „AUTO“.

Increasing the vibration speed:

step by step = press the key F6 „+“.

maximum = press the key F7 „MAX“.

Reducing the vibration speed:

step by step = press the key F5 „-“.

minimum = press the key F4 „MIN“.

By pressing the "Enter" key (4), you will return to the standard menu (

Switching on the vibrators:

Press the key (2), the LED lights up.

Switching off the vibrators:

Press the key (2), the LED extinguishes.

Depending on the mode selected, the vibrators will either be switched on and off by the drive lever in the "AUTO" mode or run continuously in the "MAN" mode.

The last vibrator setting made remains unchanged when the machine starts paving again (



3.2.3).

3.2.20Vibration Menu On / Off continued

Adjust the vibrator speed to suit the material being paved.

At a correct vibrator speed, the screed will lay smoothly on the paved mat and only minor vibrations are noticed.

The vibrators only serve for smoothing and closing the surface of the mat.

3.2.21 Screed Lock On / Off (



3.1.3)

To switch on the screed lock:

Press the key (1), the LED lights up.

To switch off the screed lock:

Press the key (1), the LED extinguishes.

When the screed lock is switched on, it will be activated and deactivated by the drive lever.

Switch on the screed lock when paving materials with a low bearing capacity as this will prevent the screed sinking down into the mat when the paver stops.

Otherwise the paving results will be negatively affected.

When switching off the ignition (



3.2.5), the screed will be automatically locked in its position even though the floating mode may be switched on.
