En la tabla 2 se contrasta la periodicidad mínima recomendada por la guía del Reino Unido (7) y que se sugiere en la presente revisión para evaluar la tasa de filtración glomerular mediante la fórmula modificada de MDRD (47) (o en su defecto por la fórmula de Cockroft- Gault) a todo paciente adulto con diagnóstico de enfer- medad renal crónica:

Se define «estable» como un cambio en la tasa de filtración glomerular menor a 2 mL/min/1,73 m2 en un

periodo de seis meses o más; y «progresiva» como un cambio en la tasa de filtración glomerular mayor a 2 mL/ min/1,73 m2 en un lapso de seis o más meses.
