Introduction

This guidebook is intended to make available to guests information on accommodation and restoration of participants to the 11th African Games of Brazzaville to be held from 4-to-19 September 2015.

The coverage of relevant activities id provided by the accommodation and restoration commission composed as follows:

In accordance with provisions of general regulations of African Games, COJA has a duty to provide for accommodation to:

- The VVIP, VIP and other personalities - The athletes and technical officials

I- Accommodation

1.1VIP accommodation (Categories A,B,C)

The different authorities will be housed in hotels facilities. Many hotels have been selected to house the African sports personalities, the heads of delegations officials and guests of the Governments of Congo. The plan of allocation in the appendix bellow, directs all participants. It will be awarded three (03) rooms to each delegation for his Minister, his head of delegation and the President or the Secretary General of NOC.

1.2Accommodation of Athletes and technical officials

During the 11th African games of Brazzaville in 2015, the heads of mission, the technical supervisions and athletes will be housed in the village of games.

1.2.1 Overview of games village

The games village is located in Kintele, that’s 30 km form downtown and 4km form sports complex LA CONCORDE.

This village has twelve (12) buildings of four levels including 312 double bed rooms, a capacity of 7488 beds. Each room has a quality habitability device. The village will also have a space reserved for the reception of delegations, a shopping center with several points of interest (internet, shaps, hair salons, for men and women, travel agencies, banks, mobile phone companies, classic.) to meet the particular needs of the inhabitants of the games village.

Access delegations games village will be based on an already defined by the COJA protocol. Each delegation should receive some civilities of the host country and in accordance with article 38 of the bylaw; each delegation will pay a deposit of 20 dollars at COJA per person residing in the games village. The said deposit is refundable at the end of games, less any cost of damage caused by the said delegation.

1.2.2 The opening and closing the game village

The game village will be open from August 25 and closed on September 22, 2015. All arrivals prior to the arrival date of August 31 are the responsibility of their delegation.

1.2.3 The allotment of housings

According to the recording delegation meetings the team responsible for the management of the village accommodation will confirm the allotment of housings of each delegation. The allotment of housing will depend on the size of delegations.

1.2.4 A code of conduct for living in the village

Together with residents, delegations have the duty to leave these facilities to their owner in a good condition (state).

The residents of games village must avoid piercing the walls with objects such as nails, screw or drills. Adhesives for the display of posters, calendar, banners, flags, photos, or other items, with the exception of any other object that can neither leave nor impact task. During the installation process, a complete inventory will be made.

1.2.5 Reception and arrival center for delegations

After recording meetings of delegations and statements made on inventory of places, athletes and technical supervisors will make their entrance in the village reception center where their luggage and equipment shall be controlled, once the control procedure completed, residents will be driven to their respective residences.

- The center is open round the clock to best manage arrivals and departure.

1.2.6 Games village access conditions

As for the athletes and the technical supervisors, access to the games village requires the presentation of a badge.

 Must be displayed and be visible when traveling in the village.

Access to the residential area is prohibited to the media. The guests will be allowed to access them only if they escorted by the head of mission.

II- Restoration 2.1 Restoring VIP

The authorities of the category A and B housed in hotels facilities will restored on the same place (site), the accommodation site (hotel)

ie: in their accommodation site (the restaurant)

2.2 Restoring the athletes and technical officials

Athletes, technical supervisions and other heads of mission will benefit from access to the village restoration services.

2.3 Restoring journalists

Photographer journalists and cameramen will eat in restaurants installed in their accommodation sites at their expense.

2.4 Restoring volunteers

Volunteers will be restored in the sites developed to their attention.

2.5 Restoration timetable

 Breakfast from 5:00 to 10:00 am

 Lunch: from 12:00 to 4:00 pm

 Dinner: from 06:00pm to 11 pm

2.6 Rules to follow

All residents and visitors are required to:

 Put their bags and equipment in a locker room before entering the restaurant.

 Obey the acts of control of accreditation to the restaurant’s entrance to ensure that only skilled (allowed) people will take meals. The presentation of a ticket also gives access to the restaurant.

 Help to maintain good sanitary conditions and observe the rules of hygiene of washing hands before eating and after sports activity.
