Dear Woodstock Families,

I wanted to introduce myself. I am Lyndsie Anderson, your 2020/2021 PTA President. My husband Daniel and I have 4 kids...3 at Bonneville Jr. High this year, and a 2nd grader at

Woodstock. I have loved being involved in the PTA at Woodstock. The parents are amazing to work with and so generous with their time and talents. I have learned a lot through the years working with wonderful parents and the amazing staff at Woodstock.

What a memorable year this is going to be! This year’s theme is, “You can’t stop the

waves, but you can enjoy the ride.” These are rough and uncertain times for us all. But if we

know anything about our Woodstock students and teachers, it is that no matter how big the waves are, they will find a way to ride them out and even enjoy them.

We want you to know we are here for you. If you have questions, concerns, or ideas on what we can do to support our students and staff, we will be here! I hope we all take time to thank our wonderful Principal, Mrs. Byrnes for the countless hours she has put into making plans to keep our teachers and students as safe as possible. Along with Mrs. Byrnes, our amazing

secretaries, Mrs. Meier and Mrs. Beckstrand, and also Miss Angie and Miss Melissa, and our custodian Mr. Ashby and his team have all been working tirelessly and will continue to do so to keep Woodstock a safe and clean environment. Lastly, we are so thankful to our hero teachers for being willing to adapt to the current circumstances and do whatever it takes to continue our children’s education, whether it be Face to Face instruction or Distance learning. Things have gone very well so far and it is because of their preparation and amazingness! Thank you Woodstock Staff for everything you are doing for our students!

This is going to be a great year at Woodstock! It will definitely be different than we have ever experienced, but we hope you all enjoy the ride!

have put any volunteer hours in for

them. This is how we receive

funding, so we want to make sure

every hour you spend is accounted

our usual PTA activities, we want to

document everything we can! So we will be

compiling a yearbook. Thank you to Kristen

Because Fridays are Distance

learning days, Thursdays will be our

“Wear your school Shirt” Day. We

have plenty of school shirts left for

Hello Woodstock Families!

It is time to start thinking about Reflections! If you have not participated in Reflections

before, it is an opportunity for students to submit creative entries in various categories

dance, film, literature, music, photography, visual art–2D and 3D. This year’s theme is “I

MATTER BECAUSE…” Entries will be judged on a school level, then winners will go on to a

District level. All entries must be submitted online by September 30. Here are the things

you need to know in order to enter:

1. There will be prize drawings for entries. One prize drawing entry for each Reflections

category entered – so a student who enters multiple categories will receive multiple

entries.

2. This year all entries will be done online. Go to this link and create an
