OptoFidelity is specialized in test automation. Automated test systems are designed to non-intrusive user interface testing. OptoFidelity test systems measure device performance from end-users point of view. Our test selection is versatile from turn-key test systems to custom-designed solutions. OptoFidelity offers also several test instruments which can be used separately or for building a complete, fully automatic tailor made test system. Most of our products are scalable and can also be integrat-ed to customers own test automation system or our partners software testing tools.

Key element in all of our robotic test automation is the Touch & Test Suite. It is a selection of modules, components and solu-tions for testing touch panels and touch-enabled devices. The suite contains all necessary components for building a complete, fully automatic test system. It is a flexible alternative for custom-designed test solution when implementing user-interface and sensor testing that requires product actuation, finger gestures and response validation.

OptoFidelity TPPT - Touch Panel Performance Tester

OptoFidelity Touch Panel Performance Test Systems are automated turn-key test systems for device or touch panel/ display performance testing. This system can also be used for testing touch panel performance from a fully assem-bled product which allows for testing touch performance in the final hardware and software configuration. One finger, two finger and multifinger options are available.

Key features:

• Analysis software: A key feature of the system is the software package that executes the testing process accurately and consistently. All the measured data is stored on a database for further analysis. The system produces a thorough result report and visualization after the test execution. Report is HTML-based, and can also be accessed over the network. Test software is highly configurable via test parameters or with optional test application develop-ment tools. It is easy to perform a quick test with a small number of test points, as well as extremely thorough test process with high test point count.

• Windows8 touch requirements testing: The test system software implementation supports touch digitizer performance tests that are specified in “Windows 8 Hardware Requirements”.

OptoFidelity Human Simulator™ User Interface Performance test system is a complete, fully automatic test system for user interface performance testing of touch enabled de-vices. With OptoFidelity Human Simulator™ customers can test devices like human does to get the same feedback than as a real end-user.

OptoFidelity Human Simulator™ is based on robot platform and Touch and Test® SW suite. OptoFidelity Human Simulator™ includes industrial robotic platforms with one-, two- or multifinger desktop robot integrated with OptoFidelity WatchDog™ UI Per-formance tester.

WatchDog

OptoFidelity WatchDog is a revolutionary measurement instrument for easy measuring user interface latency and response times. Based on intelligent, self-learning video analysis algorithm, the WatchDog system automatically detects visual, audio and haptic feedback events from the operator interface of the device, and reports the events with accurate time-stamps instantaneously.

OptoFidelity WatchDog is a turn-key solution, which comes with the necessary video and data acquisition, processing and reporting components. It does not require any modifications to the DUT, so release version firmware testing and competitor benchmarking can be done with ease.

Generic and adaptable user interface is included for entering test parameters and limits that can be used to easily analyze different user interface features. Main system software is highly modular to allow straight-forward inclusion of new hardware components in case specific custom measurements need to be integrated.

OptoFidelity HSUP is a turn key solution where OptoFidelity WatchDog is integrated with Humean Simulator and TnT SW Suite.

OptoFidelity Video Multimeter is a professional measurement solution for measuring the true and objective video playback perfor-mance of mobile, tablet or any multimedia device. After downloading the test video file to your device under test (DUT), play the test video and let the OptoFidelity Video Multimeter measure the true video and dropped frame rate count performance as seen on the device’s display. Streaming video performance (YouTube, Vimeo etc) can be measured in the same easy manner.

HAT Hardware Accessory for Testing

The HAT device is test hardware instrument to PC USB interface, which allows accurate measure-ments from the device under test (DUT). HAT device comes with open-source driver software for Linux which can easily be extended by developers. HAT features a commercial, proven data acquisition hardware. The SW configurable sensor interface of HAT enables quick adaptation for a wide range of testing needs and there are several different sensors available off-the-shelf. Sensor HW interface is open, so developers can easily implement also special-purpose sensors to the interface with HAT.

Video playback quality is very important measure in today’s mobile multimedia devices. Consumers are very sensitive about the video quality and do not accept poor performance. Consumers also com-pare different products and select the ones with the best performance.

All OptoFidelity’s Video Playback measurement solutions are non-intrusive, which means that no spe-cial instrumentation is needed for the device under test - video playback analysis is carried out from the end user’s point of view.

Perceptual Video Quality Systems and Platforms

OptoFidelity’s Perceptual Video Quality Systems and Platforms (AV10 and AV100) are designed for analyzing video playback quality during benchmarking, production testing, component evaluation or R&D testing. Video playback quality is measured directly from the actual display or from HDMI interface. Industry standard metrics are provided either by National Instruments PQA (Picture Quali-ty Analysis) or by OPTICOM. Both on-line and off-line versions are available for Perceptual Video QualiQuali-ty analysis. A special front-end platform is offered to fullfill the needs for customization and host system integration. Customization can also contain the integration of virtually any 3rd party video analysis metrics tool.

Test Video Generator

Perceptual Video Quality systems and Video Multimeter require synchronization and identification information to be added to the video content that is used in playback analysis. By default, OptoFidelity provides suitable generic test video content to be used with Perceptual Video Quality measurement solutions. Video Multimeter and Perceptual Video Quality Systems and Platforms ship with Test Video Generator as a standard tool. OptoFidelity can also offer services for customer-specific test content generation.
