Eparchial Appeal 2021
By now, you should have received a mailing from the Eparchy of Phoenix asking you to participate in the 2021 Eparchial Appeal. The current goal for the Eparchy is $300,000, of which St Anne's parish was assigned a goal of $12,355.21. If each
household donates an average of $375, then we will reach our goal. Some can give more and others can give less, but we
can all participate. You will notice that there are monthly Eparchial Appeal envelopes in your box of envelopes to help you make payments over a period of time rather than all at once in case that works better for you. If donating through the parish, please make your check out to St. Anne Church and write “Eparchial Appeal” in the memo line. As of March 30, we have
collected $1,780. This is the most important special collection of the year for us. Thank you for donating.
Funeral for Rebecca Prokopchuk: On Tuesday, April 6 at noon, there will be a funeral for Rebecca Prokopchuk at the Santa
Margarita Cemetery located at 606 E Pozo Rd, Santa Margarita, CA 93453. Do not use GPS with some website mapping systems which will take you to Timbuktu. Take the Santa Margarita exit from highway 101 and take highway 58 headed east. After passing through downtown Santa Margarita, take a right to stay on highway 58 headed east. After one mile, the cemetery will be on the left-hand side. All who would like to attend are welcome to do so.
Announcing first Potluck Social: April 11
On Thomas Sunday, we will have our first Potluck Sunday since well over a year. We will set up tables
outside the downstairs western facing door near the concrete bench or we will have it inside the hall in the
normal spot. Please feel to bring a dish to share and remember that meat is allowed and encouraged as it will
be the Paschal season.
Announcing 2021 Myrrh-Bearers Retreat Weekend on June 26, 2021: BE NOT AFRAID
The great annual/semiannual retreat for women and girls is back! This time, anybody can get to it without
needing to hop on a bicycle or hitch a horse and buggy. Registration is from April 5 to May 31. See the
attached insert for more information.
A letter from the pastor:
Dear Parishioners,
Christ is Risen! Indeed He is Risen!
We have celebrated the Passion, Death, and Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ together. What a blessing
to be doing this together in person compared with last year where we were virtual. As we inscribe the
message of the great mystery of Jesus’ crucifixion and Resurrection into our hearts, let us always remember
that Christ is Risen! He is with us! Christ will always conquer sin and evil in our lives when we persevere in
following Him. He is the Savior of our souls. Now is the time of great joy!
It is a blessing to share this Pascha with all of you. May God bless you all!

Prayer Life and Vocations
Mother Gabriella is a stavrophore nun of Christ the Bridegroom Monastery in Burton, Ohio. She joined the monastery in 2011 and made her life profession in 2015. An Ohio native, Mother Gabriella was born, raised and educated in Akron. Prior to entering, she earned a degree in Accounting from The University of Akron and worked for a mid-sized accounting firm, living the dangerous life of a senior tax associate. Despite her status as an only child, she enjoys community life, and serves her community in many capacities, but especially as economos (treasurer). She also currently helps to co-host the new 'Created and Called Podcast' for the Vocations Office of the Diocese of Cleveland.
Sister Natalia entered Christ the Bridegroom Monastery in Burton, Ohio in 2015 and has been a rasophore nun since 2016. As a military kid, Sister Natalia grew up in a variety of places from Cuba to Denver.
She earned her B.S. in Engineering Physics from Colorado School of Mines. Her route to monasticism passed through both urban missions with A Simple House of Sts. Francis and Alphonsus and teaching high school math. Though her role in the monastery is wide, she spends much of her time coordinating all the guest logistics ensuring visitors are received with hospitality. Sister Natalia and Father Michael O’Loughlin co-host the podcast “What God is Not” that focuses on Byzantine Catholicism and Mystery.
