Welcome to MELA’s fourth Regional Summit!

The Egyptian chapter is excited to take you all on this incredible journey with a backdrop that is more than 7,000 years old. Our summit is on board a Nile cruise starting from the south in Aswan and moving up along the Nile banks to Luxor. This year we are mixing the beauty and serenity of the world’s longest river, one of the most ancient civilizations, experience and depth of all of our network members to deliver what can only be thought of as a once in a lifetime experience that will let us

See Beyond

what is just on the surface! To further enhance the experience we are bringing on board local Egyptian speakers from diverse backgrounds.

We look forward to welcoming everyone from SIBF, MELA, CELA, SEALA and NALA.

Chapter members will be waiting for you in Cairo on the 1st of October and we’re chartering a flight from Cairo to Aswan, we will need everyone to arrive by noon to Cairo on the 1st! Aswan is more than 850km from Cairo and there is on other means of transportation to get to Aswan on time if you miss the flight.

Please note that following dates:

 Deadline for registration and payment: 30th of July, 2015

 Arrival to Cairo: 1st of October, 2015. We will depart Cairo to Aswan at 03.00 pm using a

chartered flight (upon receiving your registration and payment we will send you your local flight ticket with all related information).

 Please make sure to arrive at Cairo International Airport before 12.00pm CLT on the 1st of October. If you could not find a flight that arrives on time or if you would like to arrive the night before please state in the registration form. Layover is at a hotel on premises of the airport, no additional transfer is required.

 Departure from Cairo: 4th of October 2015. We will depart Luxor to Cairo at 03.00 pm. Please

make sure to schedule your return flight after 09.00 pm CLT. If you would like to spend an additional night in Cairo after the program, please state in the registration form. Layover is at a hotel on premises of the airport, no additional transfer is required.

Accommodation

We will be staying on board the MS Crown Prince Cruise Ship. Crown Prince is an impressive and extravagant ship offering Five-star deluxe comfort and facilities in a modern and self-contained cruise vessel that promises safety, relaxation and excitement in equal measure that delivers a Nile cruise to remember .

The Crown Prince features 80 cabins in all, each a generous 19 m², spread over four of the five decks of the ship. We encourage everyone to book double rooms so we can accommodate as many members as possible. Please note that there are only 30 single cabins available and that they will be booked on a ‘first come first served’ basis. Once these 30 rooms are booked, we will need to place members together in double cabins. If you decided to book a double room please specify who you would like to share a cabin with while completing the registration form. Cabins have large panoramic windows (except the lower deck) overlooking the Nile. A full laundry service is available at your own expense. Every cabin is fully air conditioned (individually controlled) and all cabins are equipped with:

 Private W/C, shower and hairdryer.

 Marine Satellite TV and music system.  Safe for storing valuables

 Mini bar/fridge

Transportation

You will fly into Cairo International Airport and there you will board a pre-booked chartered flight with the rest of the summit attendees. We are using the charted flight to get from Cairo to Aswan on the 1st of October and then from Luxor to Cairo on the 4th of October. Transportation from and to the airport as well as to our various destinations are covered by high quality, air conditioned coaches.

Visas

Due to the Egyptian lows and regulations, we will not be able to facilitate visa issuing to Participants. Therefore, all participants are responsible for issuing their own visa from the nearest Egyptian embassy or through the link below.

Below are the summit costs per person in USD. Due to limitation of single rooms, we encourage you to share rooms. Please state the person you want to share a room with in the registration form. You are required to specify whether you need a room with a double bed or a king bed in case you’re coming with your spouse.
