Candidates seeking admission to the course must have: 1. An NUS Honours degree (Merit/Second Class and above)
or equivalent (e.g., a four-year Bachelor’s degree with at least an average grade of B or equivalent) in the subject or related field; or;
2. A good Bachelor’s degree (at least an average grade of B or equivalent) in the subject or related field and successful completion of a placement test; or exceptionally;
3. Other qualifications and experience subject to approval by the Board of Graduate Studies.
Master of Social Work Candidates seeking admission to the course must have: 1. An NUS Honours degree (Merit/Second Class and above)
or equivalent (e.g., a four-year Bachelor’s degree with at least an average grade of B) in Social Work; good Graduate Record Examination (GRE) General Test scores, taken no earlier than 5 years before the date of application
(NUS/NUS/NTU/SMU graduates are not required to submit the GRE score); or
2. An NUS Honours degree (Merit/Second Class and above) or equivalent (e.g., a four‐year Bachelor’s degree with at least an average grade of B) in related field; good
Graduate Record Examination (GRE) General Test scores, taken no earlier than 5 years before the date of

3. A good Bachelor’s degree (at least an average grade of B or equivalent) and a NUS Graduate Diploma in Social Work with at least an average grade of B+; or

Candidates seeking admission to the courses must have obtain a dental degree and have at least two-year full-time clinical experience in general dentistry.
The Test of English as a Foreign Language [TOEFL] and the International English Language Testing System [IELTS] are internationally established standards to determine a candidate's English language proficiency. Candidates must have a TOEFL score of at least 550 and an IELTS result of at least 6.0.
Candidates who have passed the Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia [STPM] English language paper syllabus 1119, 1120 or 121 are exempted from the requirement of a TOEFL score/IELTS result.

Application Requirements To be admitted to the M.P.P., the candidate must possess the following minimum requirements:
1. a good honours degree from NUS; or
2. an equivalent degree, such as a 4-year Bachelor degree with an average grade of B or better; or
3. a good Bachelor degree and passed the School’s placement test; or

While the Admissions Committee does not set minimum scores for admissibility, experience suggests that successful applicants usually exceed the following scores:

Minimum Requirements for Non-Medically Qualified Applicants

Application Requirements To be admitted to the Master of Computing [M.Comp.], the candidate must possess the following minimum requirements:
1. a good honours degree in computing; or
2. a good honours degree in related related discipline with 2 years of IT industry experience; or
3. a good bachelor’s degree in computing with 2 years of IT industry experience; or
4. a good bachelor’s or honours degree in business related discipline with 2 years IT industry experience.
The above admission requirements are minimum requirements. Admission is on a competitive basis.

Candidates seeking admission to the course must have: 1. At least a bachelor’s degree with honours in a relevant
discipline;
2. Candidates should have at least two years of relevant practical experience after their first degrees.
Additional requirements such as GMAT or GRE may be stipulated for candidates from universities whose academic standards are not known. Candidates must furnish proof of English language proficiency, if English is not their native language or medium of undergraduate instruction. Candidates seeking admission to the course must have: 1. Completed 4 years of full-time architectural education; the
first three years must be RIBA Part 1 validated, and the fourth is to be from a year of study in an RIBA Part 2 course equivalent to the fourth year of Bachelor of Arts (Architecture) Honours course;
2. NUS 3-year Bachelor of Arts (Architecture)/ Bachelor of Arts (Architectural Studies) degree; or equivalent qualifications;
3. Applicants holding a non RIBA Part 1 accredited degree or qualification must provide proof of accreditation by National Accreditation Body or Professional Registration Board in country of origin; or BOA (Singapore);
4. A preparatory programme, (either 1 or 2 years in duration, depending on the candidate’s academic performance and portfolio review), is usually mandatory for non NUS degree holders and NUS graduates of the 3-year Bachelor’s programme in Architecture;
5. Interview, and portfolio review where necessary.

Master of Arts (Urban Design)

Candidates seeking admission to the course must have: 1. Bachelor of Architecture/Bachelor of Arts (Architecture)
Hons / Master of Architecture OR Honours/Graduate degree in a related discipline;
2. Interview, and portfolio review where necessary; 3. Relevant experience in a related discipline is preferred. Candidates must furnish proof of English language proficiency, especially if English is not their native language or medium of undergraduate instruction. The TOEFL and the IELTS are internationally established standards to determine a candidate's English language proficiency. Candidates must have a TOEFL score of at least 600 and an IELTS result of at least 6.5.
Master of Landscape Architecture
Application Period: Mid-October to January only for Semester 1 intake (commencing in August).
Candidates seeking admission to the course must have: 1. Completed 4 years Bachelor of Landscape Architecture
full-time education in a recognized programme; 2. Applicants with a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture
(equivalent to the first 3 years of the 4-year B.A. (Arch) programme offered by NUS) Students with this
background will have to undertake a Bridging Course; 3. Minimum 3 years of relevant architectural and
environmental design education from other universities*; 4. Applicants with an NUS Bachelor of Architecture
(specialization in Landscape Architecture) Hons degree will enter directly into the Masters Final Year and may
therefore complete the Masters programme within 1 year; 5. Interview, and portfolio review where necessary.
*Candidates will undergo a bridging programme prior to admission to the 2-year MLA programme.
Candidates must furnish proof of English language proficiency, especially if English is not their native language or medium of undergraduate instruction. The TOEFL and the IELTS are internationally established standards to determine a candidate's English language proficiency. Candidates must have a TOEFL score of at least 600 and an IELTS result of at least 6.5.
Shortlisted candidates whose native language or medium of instruction is English should be prepared to attend an interview in Singapore at their own expense.
