Prof. Dr. Che Ping Cheng

Dr. Cheng has broad background in cardiovascular physiology, pharmacology, and molecular biology with specific training and expertise in all the key aspects of the project. Dr. Cheng is an innovative, highly-productive clinical and basic investigator and widely recognized at both national and international levels in the field of cardiac physiology and heart

failure research. The primary focus of her independent research (funded by National Institutes of Health and American Heart Association) is

cardiac dynamics, cellular [Ca2+]

i regulation and signal transduction in the

healthy heart and during heart failure, including mechanism of cardiac

aging. She has more than 150 publications and made significant

contributions mainly in four areas that are very clinically and technically

demanding: 1) left ventricular filling dynamics and the mechanism of

exercise intolerance in heart failure; 2) functional effects of

neurohormonal activation in congestive heart failure; 3) cardiac

beta-adrenergic regulation: role of cardiac beta3-adrenergic receptor in heart

failure, and 4) mechanism of chronic alcohol-induced cardiomyopathy.

She has more than 150 publications, regular attendance and presentations

at national and international scientific meetings and serves as a full-time member on multiple NIH study. She is currently providing her services as Professor of Internal Medicine, Section on Cardiovascular Medicine, Wake Forest University School of Medicine, USA.

Prof. Dr. Mohamed Azmi Ahmad Hassali

Mohamed Azmi holds Bachelor of Pharmacy and Master of Pharmacy (Clinical Pharmacy) from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). For his prominent achievement, he received the

Academic Staff Training Scheme (ASTS)

scholarship from USM to pursue his Doctor of Philosophy (Pharmacy Practice) at Victoria College of Pharmacy, Monash University,

Australia and graduated in 2006.

At present, he is recognized as the only expert in the country with specialization in social and administrative pharmacy research. As an avid

researcher and writer, he has published more than 380 full research articles

in international peer reviewed journals and authored more than 200

conference presentations especially in areas related to quality use of medicines and pharmacy practice research in low and middle income countries.

Due to his excellent contribution to both the profession and society, he had been awarded with 'Outstanding Academic Pharmacist of The Year

Award' by the Malaysian Pharmaceutical Society in September 2013. He

had been awarded with ‘’Distinguished Conduct Medal’’ by the State

Governor of Penang in September 2015 due to his excellent contribution to the field of social pharmacy research and innovative community

empowerment projects on rational use of medicines. In October 2015, due

to his excellent contribution in research related to area of social and administrative pharmacy, he had been selected by Academy of Sciences

Prof. Dr. Isidoro Caraballo

Dr. Isidoro Caraballo is a Full Professor of

Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Technology,

University of Seville, Spain.

He holds the respected position of Head of the Iberoamerican-Swiss Center for Development of Dosage Forms (CISDEM).

Dr. Caraballo is also the CEO of Cronofarma SL,

Spin-off Company for development of

pharmaceutical formulations.

He has received more than 20 awards for research and teaching in Spain,

USA, Cuba and Switzerland.

He is also a Foreign Member of the Swiss Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences.

Dr. Caraballo expertise include Design and Optimization of Controlled

Drug Delivery Systems. He has published more than 100 Scientific papers,

2 Book chapters, and supervised 10 PhD Thesis, 52 Research Projects.

He holds the position of Reviewer for 25 scientific journals and he is an eminent Editorial Board Member of 7 reputed journals.

He has delivered more than 40 Invited Lectures since 1997, in Argentina,

Brazil, China, Columbia, Cuba, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Peru, Spain,

Prof. Dr. Angel Simeonov Galabov

Dr. Angel Simeonov Galabov is a professor of virology in The Stephan Angeloff Institute of Microbiology,

Sofia, Bulgaria.

He completed his Ph.D. at Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and M.D at Higher Medical School, Sofia, Bulgaria.

He held many positions in his carrier. He is Regular Member of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and is a member of several other Scientific Organizations.

He has 40 patent inventions and 275 scientific refereed publications,

including two monograph and chapters in books. He received award and honors; Awarded twice by the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences by the Sign

of Honor “Marin Drinov” in 2009 and in 2014.

Dr. Angel Simeonov Galabov's research interests include Antiviral

Substances, Biological response modifiers, Replication cycle of

picorna, Papillomaviruses in cervical cancer etiology, Oncolytic

Prof. Dr. Mohammad S. Mubarak

Mohammad S. Mubarak received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in chemistry from the University of Jordan in

1976 and 1978, respectively, and obtained his Ph.D.

degree from Indiana University, Bloomington, USA in 1982, under the supervision of Professor Dennis G.

Peters. He did postdoctoral work at Oklahoma University between

October, 1982 and August, 1983.

He began his teaching career at King Saud University, Abha, Saudi Arabia,

as an assistant professor in 1983, and then became associate professor in

1992. In January of 1993, he returned home to join the teaching staff at

the Department of Chemistry, The University of Jordan, and in 1998 he

was promoted to the rank of Professor.

Dr. Mubarak has held a number of administrative positions at The University of Jordan, including Chairman of the Department of Chemistry

and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Science, 2009–2011. In addition, he held

the position of Academic Consultant and Vice Dean at Al-Ghad

International Medical Sciences College, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, 2011–2012.

He has been an Adjunct Professor of Chemistry at Indiana University,

Bloomington, USA since 2009.

In addition to electrochemistry, Professor Mubarak’s research program is

broadly based on synthetic organic chemistry (especially the synthesis of compounds with expected biological activity), medicinal chemistry, and drug design and discovery. He is the author and co-author of more than 160 research papers published in peer-reviewed journals, along with

chapters in specialized books. He has supervised 39 theses and

Prof. Dr. Zhong Ming Qian

Prof. Zhong Ming Qian received his M.D. degree in Pathophysiology at Peking University Medical College

of PRC in 1981 and Ph.D. degree in Physiology at the

University of Western Australia in 1993.

His doctorate research on the mechanisms of iron uptake by mammalian cells was under the direction of

Prof. Evan Morgan. He took a position as a lecturer in the Department of Applied Biology and Chemical Technology at the Hong Kong Polytechnic

University in November 1993, and then worked as an Assistant Professor,

Associate Professor and Full Professor at the same University until 2012.

Since Sept. of 2012, He has been serving as a Chair Professor at Fudan

University School of Pharmacy, Shanghai, PRC. In addition, he was a

Visiting Professor of Yale University (2008-2009) and a Ph.D.

joint-supervisor of Peking University (2001- 2006), Zhejiang University (

1999-2004) and Chinese Academy of Sciences (2001-2008).

His research interests are in the areas of brain iron metabolism, metal transport proteins, and the role of brain iron in neurodegeneration. He

has published more than 160 papers in SCI journals, including those in

Pharmacological Reviews、Neuron, Trends in Pharmacological Science,

Trends in Molecular Medicine, Lancet Neurology and Biological Review. Based on his studies and the accumulated information, he proposed for the first time that brain iron mis-regulation is an initial cause of neuronal death at least in some neurodegenerative disorders and that the mis-regulation of iron metabolism might be the result of either genetic or

non-genetic factors (Trend Mol Med, 2001). These viewpoints have been

well confirmed by a number of new evidence from other laboratories

Prof. Dr. Heyam Saad Ali

Prof. Dr. Heyam Saad Ali has completed her PhD from Bradford University, UK.

She is Head of Pharmaceutics Department, Dubai Pharmacy College, UAE. She has teaching and

research experience of about 25 years.

She has published more than 44 papers in reputed

journals and has been serving as an editorial board member of several pharmaceutical Journals.

She is a member of various pharmaceutical associations. In addition to

attending more than 40 training courses, conferences and seminars in

Quality Assurance systems.

Prof. Dr. Andreas Bernkop-Schnurch

Dr. Bernkop-Schnurch is providing his services as a Professor at Institute of Pharmacy, University of Innsbruck, Austria.

He is author of more than 200 scientific papers, one of the most cited

pharmaceutical scientists in Austria and one of the world's leading pharmaceutical technologists.

He has been awarded numerous national awards, such as the highly endowed Austrian Science Prize (Dr. Wolfgang Houska Prize) and international science awards. Prof. Bernkop-Schnürch represents cosmetics for more than ten years at the University of Innsbruck in research and teaching.

He is involved in many developments in the pharmaceutical and cosmetic

Dr. Rin-Lin Liu

Dr. Rui-Lin Liu began his formal studies in analytical

chemistry at Shaanxi Normal University (M.S. 2009).

Following his doctoral work at Shaanxi Normal University

(Ph.D.) and postdoctoral research at Xi’an Jiaotong

University in 2015. Research in Liu's group has been

bridging and interfacing chemistry, pharmacy, and

materials and biomedical sciences to develop advanced carbon-based nanomaterials and hybrid polymer with useful properties in separation, drug delivery, nanomedicine and nanoscale biosensing.

Recent developments in the Liu’s Laboratory works on the synthesis and

basic understanding of carbon-based nanomaterials, hybrid polymer materials, carbon-inorganic hybrid materials, metal-organic frameworks, and their applications in multimodal imaging of biological systems, hemostasis and wound healing, and ultra-sensitive diagnostic assays and blood detoxification.

Up to now, Liu’s group has published some high quality scientific

research achievements in the journals of Carbon, Bioresource Technology, Journal of Controlled Release, Chemical Engineering Journal, Analyst, Food Chemistry, RSC Advances, Food & Function, Carbohydrate Polymers, Journal of Separation Science, Materials Science and Engineering: C, Food Analytical Methods, Journal of Chromatography A and so on. Liu has obtained more than 10 awards including Chinese

Pharmaceutical Association (2012), National Graduate Scholarship (2014)

and Baosteel Education Excellence Award (2015). In addition, Liu as a

Prof. Dr. Havagiray R. Chitme

Dr. H. R. Chitme is a Professor of Pharmacology at

Oman Medical College since 2007. He completed his

Ph.D. studies from Bundelkhand University Jhansi, India. He is known for his knowledge and experience in the field of basic, applied and clinical research in the

field of pharmacology and therapeutics. He has been ranked as top 94

Scientists in Oman by Ranking Web of Universities according to their Google Scholar Citations public profiles.

He has more than 18 years of teaching and research experience at various levels and institutes in India and Oman. He had been the principal investigator for multiple extramural research projects. One of his research paper published in Indian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences was

adjudged as Best Paper for 2001-2002 by Indian Pharmaceutical

Association.

Prof. Dr. Sabrin Ragab Mohamed Ibrahim

Prof. Sabrin Ragab Mohamed Ibrahim graduated in

1996 from Faculty of Pharmacy, Assiut University,

Assiut, Egypt with grade very good with honor. She worked as teaching assistant at the Department of Pharmacognosy, Faculty of Pharmacy, Assiut

University from 1996 till 2000 during this time she

got master degree in pharmaceutical sciences, pharmacognosy. From

2000-2002 she worked as associate lecturer at Faculty of Pharmacy, Assiut

University.

She worked as Ph.D. student at Pharmazeutische Biologie Institute der

Universität Heinrich-Heine, Düsseldorf, Germany from 2002 till 2005.

During this period, she got her Ph.D. degree with grade excellent under supervision of Prof. Peter Proksch.

From 2005 till 2010 she worked as assistant professor at the Department

Dr. Juliana Roos

Dr. Juliana Roos has completed her PhD from the University of Queensland, Australia owing to an

International Postgraduate Research Scholarship

(IPRS).

Dr. Juliana Roos was then Research Fellow at the

Monash University, Australia, at the Department of Clinical Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine working in the fields of Rheumatology, Meta-analysis and Health literacy.

She is an Associate Professor at the Dubai Pharmacy College for the last year and has taught undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the

Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacy Practice. She has over 15

publications and presentations papers in reputed journals and has been

cited over 700 times.

Dr. Mona El-Azab

Dr. Mona El-Azab, is an Associate Professor of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Suez Canal University in Egypt. She obtained her MSc and PhD Degrees in the field of hepatology and oncology, respectively. Thereafter, her

postdoctoral training in the department of Clinical and Experimental Therapeutics at University of Georgia in the USA brought her to the field of retinopathy where she studied the novel role of TXNIP deletion in preserving retinal neuronal function through preventing inflammation and vascular injury. Later, during her appointment as the head of the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, she was responsible for updating the curriculum of many subjects given by the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology in Pharmaceutical Sciences Program and Clinical Pharmacy Program as well. Moreover, she and her team took a leading role in establishing the course specifications for the PharmD Program subjects coordinated by the department of Pharmacy Practice.

Dr. El-Azab is also actively involved in the formation of a whole new generation of highly qualified researchers, trained in the field of molecular pharmacology and toxicology, with many of them have already

fulfilled their Master’s and PhD degrees under her direct mentorship. At

Dr. Bijaya Kumar Mohanty

Dr. Mohanty is currently providing his services as an Associate Professor in Botany at Khallikote University,

India. He has more than 33 years of experience in

teaching.

He previously worked as a research scholar (JRF, SRF, & PDF) sponsored by CSIR (New Delhi) at

Environmental Toxicology Lab, Department of Botany, Berhampur

University, Orissa from 01.01.79 to 29.12.1983. He was awarded the PhD

degree in 1982.

By now he has published more than 60 articles in reputed national and

international journals. He has also co-authored in 03 books.

More than 15 scholars have been awarded M.Phil degree under his

guidance. He has also guided 05 scholars in PhD and current there are 4

Dr. Imran Kazmi

Dr. Kazmi completed Post graduation (M. Pharm) from Hamdard University, New Delhi & Ph.D. from Pacific University, Udaipur, India with specialization in Pharmaceutical Science.

He is having experience of teaching & Research more than 6 years.

Currently he is employed as a Associate Professor in Glocal University, Saharanpur, U.P., India.

His research work is mainly focused on isolation, characterization, pharmacological evaluation of phytoconstituents and establishment of mechanism of action of isolated comounds/herbal drugs.

He has more than 50 research papers in different journal with cumulative

impact factor above 80, 5 books, 7 book chapters & one Indian Patent. He

Dr. Syed Sarim Imam

Dr. Imam passed his B. Pharm. and M. Pharm. from Luqman College of Pharmacy, Rajiv Gandhi University

and Health Sciences, Bengaluru in 2004 and 2007,

respectively. He earned Ph. D. in the year 2016 from

faculty of Pharmacy, Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi. Dr.

Imam got research fellowship from Indian Council of Medical Research, New Delhi during his doctorate tenure.

He has a total experience of about 10 years in teaching and research. Presently Dr. Imam is working as Assistant Professor at Department of Pharmaceutics, Glocal School of Pharmacy, Glocal University, Saharanpur, Jamia Hamdard. He has also received certificate of recognition for publication in high impact factor journals from Jamia Hamdard.

His research interests include bioavailability enhancement, transdermal drug delivery systems, and lipid based systems like nanoemulsions, solid lipid nanoparticles and nanostructured lipid carriers. He has contributed four chapters in books on Practice of Hospital, Clinical and community Pharmacy, in Elsevier and springer Publisher. He has a list of more than

30 research/review manuscripts in journals of international repute.

Dr. Muhammad Afzal

Dr. Muhammad Afzal is presently working as an Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmacology, College of Pharmacy, Al Jouf University, Sakaka, Saudi Arabia. Dr Afzal has done his M. Pharm (Pharmacology) from SK Patel College of Pharm Edu.

& Res., Ganpat University, Gujrat, India in 2009 and

PhD thesis (Pharmacology) in 2015 from Pacific University, Udaipur,

India. His broad area of research includes Neuropharmacology and drug discoveries for the treatment of neurological diseases, Biology of cancers and anticancer drug development.

He has 3 years of teaching and research experience at undergraduate and

post graduate programs. He has published several research articles in

International journals repute with a cumulative impact factor of about 85.

Dr Afzal has attended several conferences and workshops at national and international levels. He has authored three books, and filed an Indian patent too.

He is well versed with the use of analytical instruments and techniques

like UV, Biochemistry semi-auto analyzer, fully automated

Dr. Aamir Mirza

Dr. Aamir Mirza is working as a Scientist at New

Zealand Fulvic Ltd (New Zealand) where he is

heading the product development R&D.

Prior to joining New Zealand Fulvic Ltd, he has

worked in some of the reputed companies like

PharmaLex, Cipla, Ranbaxy Laboratories and Sun Pharma (world`s fifth largest generic pharmaceutical company). In the companies like Sun Pharma and Ranbaxy he was an important member of the cross functional team that was extensively involved in developing novel pharmaceutical products.

It was an honour for him to be a part of the R&D team that filed India`s first NDA (New Drug Application) and got it registered in India and several countries. His diverse experience also includes development of consumer healthcare products, like some of India`s top leading dietary supplement brands, OTC products for topical as well as oral consumption.

There are about 27 research/review manuscripts to his credit. He has been

a speaker (in scientific conferences) in different counties like Spain, Netherlands, Austria, Estonia Japan and Turkey. Few of the prestigious awards to his credit are Young researcher IHSS award (USA) and Pharma

Dr. Mohamed Mohamed Abdel Daim

Dr Mohamed Abdel-Daim is an Associate Professor of Pharmacology, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Suez Canal University, Ismailia, Egypt. He was published many manuscripts in experimental and food animals at many scientific journals related to Pharmacology, Drug

Toxicology, Biochemistry, Clinical pathology and Molecular Biology.

He is currently a member of Research Ethics Council, Academy of Scientific Research & Technology, Egypt. He has high experience in

revision activities in more than 140 scientific journals.

He has guided more than 14 students in Masters degree and more than 5

scholars in PhD.

Mr. Sai Prachetan Balguri

Mr. Balguri obtained his Bachelor’s degree in the

Pharmaceutical Sciences from the Kakatiya

University, India. He carried out his PhD work in

pharmaceutical sciences with emphasis in

Pharmaceutics from the University of Mississippi, MS, USA.

Currently, he is working as an ORISE research fellow at U.S. FDA in the office of pharmaceutical quality (OPQ). His research encompasses the expertise and experience garnered from academia, industry and agency.

Sai worked on several collaborated and individual research projects awarded from National Institutes of Health (NIH) and other agencies. His research expertise is concentrated on the design and development of Novel Drug Delivery Systems for delivering oral, sub-lingual and ocular

small molecule therapeutics.

Sai’s research has been published in several peer-reviewed journals in the

field of pharmaceutical sciences. Currently, he is working on the design

Dr. Abdur Rauf

Dr. Abdur Rauf has completed his PhD in 2015 from

Institute of Chemical Sciences University of Peshawar, KPK, Pakistan.

Currently, he is the Head Department of Chemistry University of Swabi Anbar, KPK, Pakistan.

His field of specialization is Medicinal Chemistry; Pharmacology, Green synthesis of nanoparticles and molecular docking of bioactive compounds.

He has published more than 130 scientific articles in reputed journals

(>130 impact factor). He is serving as an editorial board member of 12

international journals. His articles got 632 citations as per Google scholar

Mr. Hossein Etemadi

Hossein Etemadi is Ph.D. Scholar and Researcher at

the laboratory of pharmaceutical chemistry,

Department of Chemistry, Institute of Fundamental Science (IFS) at Massey University, New Zealand. He received his M.Sc in Organic Chemistry from the

University of Maragheh, Iran in 2014 in the study of

development of micro/nano magnetic hydrogels for biotechnologies based application such as targeted drug /probiotic bacteria delivery and protein adsorption.

In september 2016 he got the most prestigious scholarship in New

Dr. Sabina Khanam

Dr. Sabina Khanam (Ph.D., M.Sc.) is currently providing her services as Senior Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in the Department of Biological Sciences, Yobe State University, Nigeria.

She has 10 years of teaching and research experience

in the area of Toxicology, Hematology, Biochemistry, Histopathology, Environmental Toxicology.

Dr. Fatma Ibrahim Abo El-Ela Ali

Dr. Fatma Ali was awarded Marster Degree in Veterinary Pharmacology (M.V.Sc) from Beni-Suef University, Egypt. She was awarded PhD degree in

the year 2016 in Veterinary Pharmacology.

Currently she is providing her services as assistant lecturer in Pharmacology Department, Beni-Suef University, Egypt.

Mr. Mirza Salman Baig

Mr. Baig is currently providing his services as an Assistant Professor of Pharmaceutics at at School of

Pharmacy, Anjuman-I-Islam’s Kalsekar Technical

Campus (AIKTC), Mumbai, India. He is also a Ph.D. Scholar from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University. He completed his M. Pharm from Jamia

Hamdard University, New Delhi, India in the year 2011.

In the year 2009, he qualified Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering

(GATE) (Pharmaceutical science) conducted by IIT, Roorkee on behalf of

Ministry of Human Resource Development, GOI with 99.29 percentile.

He is a Life member of Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India.

Mr. Dang Chee Chean

Mr. DangCompleted training as provisional registered

pharmacist in year 2006. He Started working as

Cytotoxic Drug Reconstitution (CDR) pharmacist in

Oncology Pharmacy unit from year 2006 till now in

Hospital Melaka, Malaysia. He is a Certified preceptor for provisionally registered pharmacist in hospital.

He has provided his services as Lecturer for Faculty of Pharmacy, Melaka International College of Science and Technology (MICoST), Malaysia. He is involved in Haematology ward as a clinical pharmacist in year 2010 till now in Hospital Melaka, Malaysia.Currently, involve in few clinical trials research focusing in haematology field.

Committee member in Clinical Pharmacy specializing Oncology Pharmacy Division at Pharmaceutical Services Division, Ministry of Health, Malaysia.

Committee member of Occupational Safety and Health in Pharmacy Department, Hospital Melaka. He is a Registered member of Malaysian

Pharmaceutical Society, Rph 5900 till now.

Ms. Subhashree GR

Ms. Subhashree is currently providing her services as Associate professor in Dr. M. G. R. Educational and Research Institute University, Chennai, India.

She has been awarded M.Phil. degree in Nuclear Physics from University of Madras, India. She is also M.

Sc. in Physics from Womens Christain College, Chennai. Her M. Sc. Project was on Titanium as Biomaterials.

His research interest includes Modelling and Simulation,

Dr. Grace Akpanika

Dr. Akpanika is currently the Research Officer at Federal Institute of Industrial Research in Oshodi, Lagos.

Dr. Akpanika research interest includes Natural Product Chemistry, Separation Chemistry and Medicinal Chemistry.

Dr. Karina Dias

She is current a Post Doc Fellow at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Ribeirao Preto, University of Sao Paulo. Brazil.
