We’re Here for You!
SUMMER 2009
Are you in the market for a new home for the first time? Haven’t owned a principal residence for the past 3 years? Then this is a great time to buy a new home. That’s because there are some incredible deals available and (best
of all) you could qualify for a tax credit of up to $8,000! It’s all part of the
$787 billion stimulus bill President Barack Obama signed into law in February.
To qualify, you’ll have to purchase a new home before December 31st, 2009—and Chemcel FCU would like to help. We’re offering some of the best
rates we’ve ever had, as well as convenient terms and easy repayment options.
Find out more by going to chemcel.org and click on the “Mortgage” button at
the top of the page. You can check into our current rates, prequalify, estimate your payment, apply, find out the status of an existing loan and more. But you’d better do it today! The clock is ticking and you don’t want to get left out!

SO HOT
—or even too hot?
Chemcel FCU wants to help. For a limited time, we’re offering great, low rates on home equity loans. Use them to install a new swimming pool or a new air conditioning system. Add a deck or add a covered patio. You can even use the home equity funds to consolidate existing debt to get out of hot water with your current creditors. In fact, you can borrow up to 80% of the appraised value of your home for just about anything you want.
Because your home is used as collateral, you could qualify for a minimum of $10,000. And, in some cases, any interest you pay on the loan may be tax deductible (see your tax advisor for full details). It’s all possible with a home equity loan from Chemcel FCU. Terms are available up to 12 years and there are no escrow requirements.
To find out more, click on chemcel.org or stop by one of our offices to apply. We’d be happy to help you turn your home into one of the coolest casas in the neighborhood!

The
HEAT’S
off for these great grads!
At Chemcel FCU, we’re proud to recognize our annual high school scholarship recipients. To help take a little of the heat off their tuition, we’re granting each one $1000. All applications were among the best we’ve seen and it was difficult to choose, but these three stood out as the winners: Claire Spier-ing, Robert Obregon Jr., and Morgan Fortner.

Any offer that sounds like it’s
TOO HOT
to pass up is
probably too hot to touch.
Whether it comes in the email or through a trusted friend, many financial offerings are not what they were originally promised to be—as too many people have found out. Take these tips and don’t get taken: – Beware of any promises of a quick profit
– Automatically question any unsolicited investment offer—particularly if it’s received through email – Don’t assume a company is legit because the website is well designed
– Independently verify any investment opportunities
– Unless you completely understand what’s being offered, don’t invest – Research the nature of any investment and the individuals involved
– Be extremely cautious when dealing with any individual or institution outside the country – Don’t get separated from your cold cash. If the offer’s too hot, don’t handle it!
