Setting of the IP address
Change to the network settings on your myGEKKO. Assign the myGEKKO a unique, free IP address and subnet mask.
CAUTION: Check in the router configuration which address range and which subnet mask is used in your home network. Typically, it is possible to set the router’s IP address for the gateway and the nam-eserver (DNS).
In our example:
IP address: 192.168.2.103 (address of the myGEKKO Touch) Netmask: 255.255.255.0 (subnetmask of the home network) Gateway: 192.168.2.1 (address of the router)
Nameserver: 192.168.2.1 (address of the router)
Check if the myGEKKO is connected to the network. (Pingtest)
3.1 Activation VNC access
By default, VNC is deactivated and it is not possible to access the myGEKKO. In order to access the myGEKKO, you have to activate VNC. There are two sharing methods, “Standard” and “16:9”. The sharing method concerns the resolution used to transmit the image. If the standard resolution doesn’t work on your device, try the 16:9 resolution.

6. Remote access via internet
There are two possibilities to create a remote access via internet. The essential prerequisite is a fixed public IP address or the creation of a DynDNS account for dynamic public IP addresses.
A simple but very unsafe method is the port forwarding. Another safe method is the setting of a VPN access. Ask your network engineer how to implement a VPN access or the port forwarding.
Ports:
VNC = 5900
Web-App = 443 (https)
Caution! In case of internet access, especially if you use the port forwarding, you should change all the standard passwords of your myGEKKO Touch as soon as possible.
