( 2019 – 2020 )

Respected Sir / Madam ,

Greetings from Sulkuni Phanindra Student Sangha.

We are a grass root level voluntary organization in Hasnabad & Hingalganj Blocks of North 24

parganas in West Bengal . We have been working for more than thirteen years to promote

educational , Social and Cultural activities for the development of rural , backward and distressed

people . We have been organizing central and State Govt. projects , SPSS Vivekananda Shikha

Niketan ( primary school ) , SPSS Maa Sarada Samiti ( SHG , MAT & others ) , SPSS Vivek Samiti ( an

youth development project ) , SPSS Relief Centre , SPSS Instituted of culture , SPSS Lokenath

Bridhashram ( a project for old persons ) , SPSS Sabuj Gram Prakalpa , SPSS Ramkrishna Seba

Sadan , Palli Milan Utsav , Kalpataru Shishu Utsav , etc. for the development of our area .

We want our area to be a model area . We want to make sure that every child in our

area enjoys there right and freedom as children . We want to ensure that every woman has equal

rights and enjoys the same status and privilege as there male counterparts . We want that there is

no poverty in our area . We want our area to have best of roads , best of irrigation , best of water

system and best of infrastructure . We want this dream to be met with benevolent supports from

our as well as from any national & international supporting organization !

We need to have your supports and cooperation to make our dream come true….!!

1) SPSS Vivekananda Shiksha Niketan :-

To develop education of our rural students we have established this school with library in the year 2008. The special features of the school is that there are only 25 students in each class . As a result , teachers pay adequate attention to each and every pupil in all respect . Besides basic education , we emphasis on kids skill development on physical exercises , games and sports , cultural program like singing , dancing , drama , drawing etc , and computer education . Eleven number of trained teachers are engaged in teaching . This school has a library ( Total number of books – 1334 nos.) . Directorate of Library Service , Govt. of West Bengal has released an amount of Rs 30,000/- . This grant help us to buy some essential books . Number of benefited students are 156 during the session 2019 – 2020.

2) SPSS MAT PROGRAMMES :-

a) SPSS Maa Sarada Samiti :-

Our one of the major Social programme is SPSS Maa Sarada Samiti . To empower rural women , particularly the house wives and the unemployed

girls , We have been organizing SPSS Maa Sarada Samiti . We have organized conference on sustainable agriculture , Medical camp , poultry chicks distribution programme to encourage samiti member on SHGs formation , Vocational training for poultry & goatary farming , monthly awareness camp on illiteracy , superstition etc . for the development of our samity members . We want to ensure that every women has equal rights and enjoy the same status and privilege as their male counterparts . b) SPSS Vivek Samity :-

Our one of the major social program is

SPSS Youth development Project . To empower rural youth , particularly unemployed youth , We have been organizing SPSS Youth development Project involving 180 rural youth . We have organized Nehru Yuba Kendra’s SUTP programme , awareness camp , Medical camp , Vocational training for poultry & goatary farming etc . for the development of our youth members . garden and its maintenance etc .

3) SPSS Institute of Culture :-

To support and promote cultural

activities through the universally

appreciated medium of folk, dance , drama , music and fine arts we have established SPSS Institute of Culture in the year 2004 . We have organized Dance school , Music school , Drama training centre , Talent searching camp , Drawing school , Tusu , Baul , Tarja sammalan etc for the development of rural pupil and artist . Number of benefited students are 87 in the session 2019–2020 .

4) SPSS Sabuj Gram Prakalpa :-

To raise mass awareness about

5) SPSS RELIEF PROGRAMMES :-

a) SPSS Baba Lokenath Bridhashram :-

We have a dream to do something for poor dishearten older person . We want to set up an old age home along with Older person’s Aid Centre . Unfortunately we have not been able to do much in this sector for

want of support and aid . Now wehave set up SPSS Baba Lokenath Bridhashram . It is a ashram where old

persons meet every day evening and there is a meditation hall in this ashram . We give stipend , winter clothes , blankets etc. to older persons every year . Number of benefited persons are 65 in 2018 -2019 session .

b) SPSS Ramkrishna Seba Sadan :-

Health care services are the

most needed support to the people in this area . Quacks and religious healers are the most sought after person due to their ready availability . The status of pregnant women , children and old persons in need of urgent

medication becomes very

pathetic at times . Unfortunately, despite its great efforts and keenness, we have not been able to do much in the health care sector for want of support and aid . We have established SPSS Ramkrishna Seba Sadan in 2014 . Now , we are organizing medical camp from this Centre . C) SPSS Relief Centre

:-We conducts Relief works during the flood or other victims . Dhotis , saris , tripal , blankets etc . were given

as relief in rainy & winter season .Number of benefited students are 386 in the session 2018–2019 .

7) Festival and Ceremonies :-

We have organized Kalpataru Shishu Utsav on 30/12/18 to 01/01/2019 . To

support and promote cultural

activities through the universally appreciated medium of folk, dance , drama , music and fine arts we have organized Palli Milan Utsav for the development of rural cultural activities among the villagers . In this year we have arranged recitation , drawing & debate competition ,

sports equipments distribution

programme among local clubs , first aid box distribution programme among our Maa Sarada Samiti members , various type of sports events , conference , Workshop on agricultural development , drama , folk song & dance programme etc. from 01 – 02 – 2019 to 03 -02 -2019 at Sulkuni village . We also celebrated Independence Day , Republic Day ,

Mattri Dibas , Bhadra Utav , Yuba Dibas and Shisu Dibas in every year .
