The vision of smartflower

Progress starts when existing solutions are ques-tioned. We asked ourselves whether or not it was possible to make photovoltaic solutions in the household sector simpler and more efficient than ever before. Our vision was a system that can be set up, connected and operated easily – like a household appliance. A system that provides sufficient power for an average household and, furthermore, it is mobile. A system that is not only functional, but also aesthetically attractive. Thus, a system that particularly appeals to de-sign-oriented people who do not have the option
to install a roof-top system. But also companies and communities who wish to set an extraordinary example with regard to sustainability and environ-mental compatibility. We developed smartflowerTM
for them. The first prototype was tested in 2011. smartflowerTM was presented to the public and
en-thusiastically welcomed in 2013 at Intersolar Eu-rope. The innovative mobile photovoltaic system has been inspiring customers throughout Europe since 2014. We are certain that it will inspire you too. Welcome to the sunny side.

large solar panel surface unfolds and automa- tically turns to the sun. As soon as the sun sets, smartflowerTM folds its module compartments
into a safety position. At the touch of a button, the system completely disappears into the robust housing. The system can be put into operation with ease and is simple to control via the guided menu on the mounted screen.

smartflowerTM remains clean due to an innovative
self-cleaning mechanism. Thus, losses in elec- tricity production are minimised and efficiency is maximised.
smartflowerTM permanently monitors the wind
speed by means of wind sensors and automati-cally moves into a safety position at a defined wind strength, i.e. before the system can be damaged.
In the case of fire, smartflowerTM offers a
signifi-cant advantage over roof-top systems, as the sys-tem can be disconnected from the power supply at any time and thus presents no danger during fire-fighting operations.

There are two mounting options available: Instal-lation on soil through six earth studs or instalInstal-lation on a solid foundation. The six earth studs are aligned with the help of a template and anchored in the soil with an insertion aid. smartflowerTM is
bolted to the ground with the six earth studs and then just needs to be electrically connected.
The same is also true with a concrete foundati-on, which is constructed with the six anchorage points according to the static requirements. smartflowerTM is positioned, bolted down and
con-nected. smartflowerTM produces electricity at just
the touch of a button.

The wind monitor continuously checks the wind strength during operation. At a wind speed of 15!m/sec (54!km/h), smartflowerTM automatically
moves into safety position 1 to reduce the wind pressure on the modules. At the same time, the wind monitor continues to record all changes in wind conditions. If the speed decreases, the
system resumes the normal tracking mode. If the wind speed exceeds 17.55!m/sec (63!km/h), smartflowerTM automatically moves into safety
