A leading professional with comprehensive interdisciplinary training in literature, philosophy, art, sociology and

history who is able to transmit cultural, artistic, social, business and ethical values to make proposals that fulfill to the needs of society in the twenty-first century. This professional is thus able to enrich the material and human progress of public and private institutions.

A professional who is able to understand, analyze and interpret literary texts and the humanities. In the same way, this professional develops a deep knowledge and practice of literary creation in order to venture into the creation and management of editorial, journalistic, artistic, advertising, audiovisual and multimedia companies; being able to present innovative proposals to contribute to the growth of a multicultural and globalized society.

A professional who knows and understands dynamics and contexts of society at the national, regional, and local levels. This professional is able to serve as an advisor in order to resolve socio-cultural issues, as well as the improvement of public and private institutions. Additionally, this professional can document and evaluate occurrences in communities, government agencies, industries, and political parties, through scientific observation techniques such as interviewing, surveying and participating actively in the change of contemporary society.

A professional who is a leader in business, ethics and social responsibility and is capable of generating and directing projects in the business, academic and political sectors. At the same time, this professional serves as a strategic planning advisor in public and private organizations, based on knowledge of philosophy, socio-cultural issues, administration and leadership.

UDEM Degree Programs in Humanities and Social Sciences are the only Bachelor of Arts Programs in Mexico and Latin American that combining creation, analysis, research, history and editing, in a truly high level of professionalism. The flexible and personalized model of the programs offers students the option to choose 12 elective courses within a wide variety of available options so as to enhance and direct their possibilities of employment and intellectual development.

Thanks to the curricular structure and the close academic relationship between the programs belonging to Humanities and Social Sciences, it is possible to receive a dual-degree, with only one year and a half of additional studies.
