1. Scope of our Services
This document describes Accenture’s Cloud Infrastructure Implementation Services, and should be read in conjunction with the associated Government Cloud II Services documentation, specifically Appendix 5 – Award Questionnaire. As part of the wider suite of offerings for G-Cloud, Accenture can provide “Cloud Infrastructure Implementation Services”. Accenture Cloud Infrastructure Implementation Services consists of the following items
Data Centre Services
Cloud Enterprise Services (CES)
1.1. Data Centre Services
Data centre is one component of an optimized IT infrastructure and Accenture can help G-Cloud users with a phased, end-to-end transformational approach to each component.
Phase I: Standardise technology, tools and processes and consolidate IT infrastructure through pooling and virtualising resources
Phase II: Integrate and Automate both technology and IT processes
Phase III: Create Service Orientation linking operations to business services virtualised between multiple sources (internal and external) and provisioned from the cloud
Accenture data centre offerings reduce costs and increase the productivity of G-Cloud IT. We do this by:
Data Centre Optimisation: consolidating data centre footprints helps ensure that data centre designs address
“green IT” issues related to power use, power sourcing and climate controls.
Server Optimisation: Accenture can centralise more than 80%, standardise up to 95% and consolidate up to 50%
of an organisation's existing servers.
Storage Transformation: We assist clients looking to transition to networked storage and eliminate duplicate
environments, helping improve storage utilisation, investment returns and the availability of the enterprise data. Database Optimisation: Accenture's solutions help clients improve IT productivity, reduce the total cost of
ownership associated with database technologies, drive more value from their information assets, and improve performance of mission critical data base systems.
Data Centre Automation: by automating a number of capabilities to integrate individual components of IT—
from server and storage environments to applications—into a seamless service, we help companies reduce delivery costs by up to 30% and delivery times from days to minutes.
Data Centre Outsourcing: enabling a secure and stable environment through development and production
hosting, storage services, database management and application technical services.
Accenture’s NGDC (Next Generation Data Centre) provides the architectural blueprint for cloud computing transformation.
NGDC is a pooled, virtualised and service‐oriented infrastructure, which provides elastic service-on‐demand through dynamic provisioning of heterogeneous and integrated infrastructure components using automated technology and IT processes and predictive operations. Accenture’s extended NGDC further integrates IT services across the core enterprise and cloud ecosystem. Following are the building blocks of NGDC’s service‐oriented architecture:
Business Service Management focusing on managing end-to-end services to business outcomes
IT process automation and policy based infrastructure automation, triggering provisioning linked to capacity and service level objectives

Supported by an integrated operations framework that is transformed from being reactive, to proactive and ultimately predictive using feedback loop and self-healing diagnostics
Dynamic Provisioning techniques that address heterogeneous and virtualised infrastructure, applications and services
Pooled resources with virtualisation of server, storage, network and security components

1.2. Cloud Enterprise Services
Accenture Cloud Enterprise Services offering provides cloud integration with consistent end-to-end service management and governance over a mixed vendor infrastructure of cloud and traditional services. The offering is available either as a managed service where Accenture can provide all capabilities through our centralised storefront and catalogue, or we can deploy a private solution within G-Cloud environment.
Private deployments can also include Accenture remote managed services to manage the infrastructure and provide service on-boarding and integration services.
Our integrated cloud services framework in addition to service provisioning, automated workflows, monitoring, metering across IT services enables the following:
A single web-based storefront that can provide G-Cloud users with the tools required to provision and manage their cloud services from a single dashboard
Business Service Management provides the governance of services at both a usage and policy level IT process and policy-based infrastructure automation through Service Oriented Integration (SOI)
Cloud Enterprise Services are available through two different delivery models, either as a managed service or privately deployed
Accenture has partnered with leading hardware providers which enables it to provide infrastructure as a service across the World. Some of the leading partners are HP, IBM, VMWare, Dell, EMC2 ,and Cisco.
