Die Verdammte Spielerei sets out on a world tour. Flanders’ best street brass band is finally getting the recognition it has toiled for – or ‘played’ for - for years. Delinus coaches, a reputed Amsterdam transport company, will take them on their tour in its VIP coach. Considering the sunny climate of the South and the warm temperatures, they will travel Europe’s only existing ‘cabrio coach’. Before setting out on this huge tour, they will appear one last time in full outfit during the Ghent Festival Parade. They have the advantage to play the stars out of the sky from out the open roof of the coach, which, in the afternoon, is a tough achievement... We invite you to send them off in huge numbers in order to reassure them that they can count on massive recognition and sympathy in their Flemish homeland. ‘Europeans of all countries, unite!’ A unique brass band is coming your way!

The bee is dancing in circles. The ant colony is busy working. The cricket is singing lustily. Caterpillars are nosing around for fresh leaves. Dragonflies are skimming over the water surface. And the spider? It is weaving its web! ‘Bzzz’T’ is, as a matter of fact, an open air music theatre performance for young families. Three scientists will take you to the wondrous world of the insects, which will come to life in a figure dance of inventive plastic insects, animation film and live harp music. The performance is based on young children’s fascination for all things flying, crawling on and under the ground or swerving over the water surface. After the show, those present will be invited to join the scientists on their exploration.

We all know pole dancing for women. But now there is also pole dancing for men! In this act the Chinese mast, the pole par excellence, is entirely freestanding. No attachment whatsoever. The two artists have to keep this four meter high mast in balance themselves while performing breathtaking stunts at its top. The entire act relies on mutual trust. The acrobats have to know each and every movement the other will make, as each movement may bring the pole off balance. It is a blood-curdling act about trust, seasoned with a touch of tenderness. One false move and both mast and artists will fall. But these artists are extremely well trained. After the performance, the pole is used as a fenpole to jump over St. Macharius church. For a trained circus artist, that is peanuts!

swimming pool: he learnt how to swim there, became a water polo player and a coach. But he was also Vina Bovy’s driver – and perhaps much more than that... How did they get

acquainted ? Why did they move to Monte Carlo … and what happened to Vina Bovy after the Ghent Opera House went bankrupt? You will hear all about it at Van Eyck swimming pool, where storyteller Luk De Bruyker will put himself in Henri’s shoes to tell his story.

For the creation of Dynamite & Poetry the artists of 15Feet6 worked with a teeterboard, a Chinese pole, a Russian bar and a bunch of ideas which for some reason or other never made it to the stage... The result is an acrobatic performance with a rather absurd twist. Explosive circus for all ages.
