Accessories – robot soldering head 4900:
Our range of accessories is derived from the various applications of our customers. On the basis of almost 30 years’ experience, it is possible to say that virtually every soldering application has its speciality.
For this reason, we have compiled a list of the various add-on modules for you. Needless to say, we can also customise – in Swiss quality – our robot soldering head for your specific application.
Multipoint: Using the Multipoint function it is possible to apply solder to two points
without the robot soldering head moving. This is advantageous when working with broad soldering tips and soldering contacts in order to ensure that the solder flows better around the part to be soldered. This has the effect of reducing the soldering time, whilst enhancing the joint. Maximum multi-point travel at the feed tip of 15 mm.

Quick-action chuck: The robot soldering head can be adapted by means of an angle plate
with various quick-action chucks. The illustration below depicts the system supplied by the company Schunk. In conjunction with the change-over system of the robot soldering head, an industrial robot becomes a true “all-round talent”. As a result, it is also possible to use the robot for various other assembly tasks.
Extractor unit: For customers who do not have a central extraction system, our
extractor unit provides the perfect solution. Thanks to the flexible suction pipe, it is possible to extract the soldering fumes directly at the soldering tip. As such, the waste-gases are extracted at the soldering tip and expelled into the atmosphere after first passing through a filter system. This minimises the soiling of the soldered components and, in doing so, increases the tool life.
