Main activities As a marine environmental expert and supervisor of underwater activities, I was responsible for the coordination of various projects investigating the environmental risk assessment, and monitoring of endangered species, such as the artificial reefs, benthic organisms, coralligenous communities and gorgonias species.. Also, I actively contributed at these projects collecting data as a scientific diver and making the necessary data analysis. Here is a list of the main projects done within the last years (all of them in Italy):

• Environmental Risk Assessment: Benthonic Biocenosis characterisation of the marine area close to “Falcone - Borsellino” Airport, (P. Raisi PA;

• Environmental assessment for a nourishment project - Finale Ligure (SV); • Environmental monitoring of:

o artificial reefs (Sanremo - IM);

o benthic organisms on Haven wreck ( Arenzano, GE);

o artificial reef and nourishment activities (S. Bartolomeo al Mare - IM); o gorgonians species during an mass mortality event in various places:

 Tavolara Capo Coda Cavallo Marine Protected Area –MPA- (OL);  Portofino Marine Protect Area –MPA- (GE);

 Capo Mortola Marine Protect Area – MPA- (VM);

o Paramuricea clavata populations in Secche di Tor Paterno Marine Protect Area –MPA- (RO);

• Italians coralligenous communities characterisation and monitoring research project in o Santo Stefano shoal (IM);

Main activities I am one of the founders of an academic spinoff society of the Genoa University: Underwater Bio-Cartography (U.Bi.Ca) s.r.l.
