Cormant-CS System Requirements

For Cormant-CS 8:

Hardware Requirements

Cormant-CS Server:

 2 GHz or higher quad-core processor

 8GB RAM

 80 GB free hard disk space (including program and database space) Cormant-CS Desktop Client:

 2 GHz or higher dual core

 2GB RAM (2GB preferred for Windows 7 and 8)

 500 MB free hard disk space

Windows Platform Supported

Cormant-CS is supported on the following Windows platforms (x86 and x64 architectures supported unless noted):

Cormant-CS Server: x64 architecture only

 Windows Server 2008 (Standard/Enterprise) SP2

 Windows Server 2008 R2 (Standard/Enterprise) SP1

 Windows 7 (Professional/Enterprise/Ultimate) SP1 (note: for non-prod or test system)

 Windows 8 (Professional/Enterprise) (note: for non-prod or test system)

 Windows Server 2012 (Standard/Enterprise) Cormant-CS Desktop Client, Server and Web:

 Windows XP Professional

 Windows Server 2008 (Standard/Enterprise ) SP2

Database Platform

The database engine can be any of the following (x86 and x64 architectures supported bit unless noted):

 SQL Server 2008 R2 (Workgroup/Standard/Enterprise Edition) SP1

If you are using SQL Server Client Access Licenses (CAL), you will be required to have a license for each Client or Handheld that accesses Cormant-CS. Alternatively you can choose Server or Core licenses to avoid per-user licensing. Refer to Microsoft for licensing details.

Pocket PC Platform

Hardware Requirements (Minimum requirement)

The software has been tested on StrongARM and PXA320 processors.

 256 MB RAM (minimum)

 806 MHz ARM compatible processor

 On-board Wireless LAN and Barcode scanner recommended.

 Compact Flash card for additional storage. Operating System:

 Windows Mobile 5

 Windows Mobile 6

 Windows Mobile 6.1

 Windows Mobile 6.5

The following barcode scanners are supported by Cormant-CS Handheld:

 Motorola scanner (MC5590, MC55A0 and MC67)

 Intermec scanner (CN series)

 For RFID scanning (Motorola MC9090-G RFID, Motorola MC9090-Z RFID) We strongly recommend the use of Motorola MC67 device. This device support a fast processor, 1D/2D scanner, Wi-Fi and an SD memory slot for database expansion and are rugged for day-to-day operation.
