There are several ways to arrange academic credit for internships. The most up-to-date listing of academic policies regarding internship credit are available through the College Center for Advising Services at

Please see the CCAS website and meet with an academic adviser or Career and Internship Center counselor to discuss the most appropriate internship option for you. More frequently, employers are requesting that volunteer interns receive transcript notation or academic credit, so we need to understand your specific circumstances in order to advise you accordingly.
