airports in Antsiranana, Toamasina, Tolagnaro and Toliara will reopen to flights arriving from the Indian Ocean Islands.

► All eligible entrants will be

subject to a 14-day quarantine at a government-designated hotel.

► While no formal suspension is in

place, visa holders who are outside of the jurisdiction are not able to re-enter due to the current closure of national ports of entry.

► As an exception, expatriates

who are in France and who possess valid visas can return to Madagascar on special flights organized by the Malagasy government.

► All eligible entrants will be

required to undergo a

polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test upon arrival in Madagascar.

► As a consequence of closing its

borders and embassies abroad, Madagascar has suspended the issuance of new visas and work permits until further notice.

► Malaysian citizens, permanent residents

and foreign nationals with a valid work/dependent permit are allowed to enter Malaysia, but there may be heighted admission criteria (e.g. Entry Approval Letter, Travel Notice application or the installation of the "MySejahtera" app). Foreign nationals are not allowed to enter Malaysia for business or tourism purposes at this time due to the recently-issued Movement Control Order.

► Due to the severity of COVID-19 cases in

certain locations, the Malaysian government has imposed Movement Control Order (MCO) for two weeks, from 13 January 2021 until 26 January 2021, in several states: Johor, Melaka, Selangor, Sabah, Penang and the federal territories of Kuala Lumpur, Labuan and Putrajaya. The states of Negeri Sembilan, Pahang, Perak, Kedah, Terengganu and Kelantan are placed under Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) while Perlis and Sarawak are placed under Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO).

► No interstate travel is allowed. The travel

border restriction remains the same, where entry to Malaysia by foreign nationals is prohibited except for those with long-term passes like a work pass.

► All new entrants are subject to a

10-day quarantine at a designated quarantine center upon entry, along with mandatory health screening and monitoring requirements.

► If the traveler can provide a

negative polymerase chain reaction (PCR) COVID-19 swab test result taken no more than 3 days prior to their entry to Malaysia, the quarantine requirement will be lowered to 7 days.

► Existing, unexpired entry visas,

work and dependent permits (and approval letters) remain valid (i.e. these have not been suspended or canceled).

► Expired entry visas, work and

dependent permits (and

approval letters) are considered null and void. Holders of expired visas will need to apply for new visas or permits if they are seeking to reside and work in Malaysia.

► See entry restrictions and

quarantine/self-isolation sections.

► Online submission/filing services

offered by the Malaysian immigration authorities have resumed in full.

► Over-the-counter applications

submissions are being accepted by appointment.

► Restrictions on air travel have been

lifted as of 15 July 2020. Travelers arriving from an "amber" country are required to produce a negative polymerase chain reaction (PCR) COVID-19 swab test result on arrival. The list is available here. The test must have been taken no more than 72 hours prior to arrival in Malta. If a negative test is not presented, a swab test on arrival or a 14 day quarantine period may be required.

► Quarantine is mandatory for

travelers coming from specific jurisdictions. More information can be found here.

► Travelers should check with their

airline to ensure requirements are adhered to prior to boarding their flight.

► All new entrants will be subject

health and medical screening, and asked to fill in a passenger locator form, which will enable the health authorities to trace them swiftly should the need arise. Further details about passenger locator forms should be sought from the public health authorities.

► The processing of employment-

based residence applications for third-country nationals entering Malta for assignments of one year or more resumed on 3 August 2020. The processing of short- term assignment applications (for assignments lasting less than one year) has resumed as well, with an increased level of scrutiny.

► Visa issuance/renewal processing

varies by visa center, and the health and safety conditions in the specific locations where those visa centers are situated.

► Please note that visa issuance will

be treated on a case-by-case basis and may depend on the traveler's reason for traveling and if work related, the traveler's job
