N/A ► As of 21 October 2020, 13Immigration control points are now open for entry by citizens, residents and visitors to Paraguay subject to enhanced health requirements (see the "heightened admission criteria" section for more information). Travelers are advised to confirm health requirements with the port of entry through which they will enter Paraguay in advance of travel as these may vary with little to no notice to the public.
► Citizens, residents and visitors
must quarantine at home or the location where they will reside (e.g. hotel) for 14 days upon arrival. The quarantine period may be reduced to seven days if the traveler: (1) possesses a reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test certificate obtained no more than 72 hours prior to entry, which confirms that the traveler tested negative for COVID-19, and (2) takes a second RT-PCR test (and test negative) on the seventh day of the quarantine period.
Travelers who will remain in Paraguay for less than seven days may be exempted from the quarantine requirement provided they enter with a (negative) RT- PCR test certificate obtained no more than 72 hours prior to entry.
► New entrants to Paraguay are
subject to enhanced health requirements as a condition of entry, including: (1) completion of an electronic "Traveler Health Card" (this can be completed on the website of the Paraguayan Ministry of Public Health no more than 24 hours prior to entry), (2)
presentation of a negative RT-PCR- test certificate issued no more than 72 hours prior to travel (and submitting to a second RT-PCR test on their seventh day in Paraguay if they will remain in the country for seven days or more), and (3) possession of an international medical insurance card/plan that ensures health coverage (including care relating to COVID-19). Travelers who have tested positive for COVID-19 prior to their travel to Paraguay may be subject to more rigorous testing requirements (to be confirmed by the Paraguayan authorities on a case-by-case basis).
► The authorities resumed
processing of new visas starting 19 May 2020.
