COURSE OBJECTIVES

C1: Presentation of problems of the analyses of resources and development of social and economic systems in regions – Presentation of techniques of statistical analysis, models of social and economic structures and allocation models.

C2: Application of systemic approach in the analyses of resources and development of social and economic systems in regions.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES Related to knowledge:

PEK_W01 describe selected techniques of statistical analysis, spatial analysis (including GIS) models of social and economic structures and allocation models used in regional planning

Related to skills:

PEK_U01 develop the ability to perceive and understand the systemic relationships between the elements of socio-economic and natural environment and their impact on regional development

PEK_U02 develop skills in using advanced methods of spatial and socio-economic analysis, including simulation models

PEK_U03 develop skills in collecting, integrating, analyzing data and drawing conclusions PEK_U04 develop the ability to clearly communicate and justify their own opinions Related to social competencies:

PEK_K01 develop the ability to recognize the coexistence and the ability to reconcile different interests and different approaches to problem solving in regional planning
