• Students to participate in various competitions/National and International

All the Departments encourage students to participate in all possible National and International competitions. They are given enough guidance for preparation and permission to attend the same. The needed financial support for the Registration and transport facility is facilitated. A staff is allotted to accompany the students to the competition.

• Medical assistance to students; health centre, health insurance etc.

We have enough medical assistance to provide to students. We also have a 24 hour ambulance service on duty within the campus to take students to hospital immediately. First Aid box is kept in all the laboratories. Students’ group insurance covers all the students, parents and staff. The SRM Medical College Hospital is situated in the adjacent block and hence quite easy to take students to the hospital in case of intense situations. Personalized coaching classes are conducted and because of that many students have undergone higher studies in India and abroad.

• Organizing coaching classes for the competitive exams

Students are motivated to upgrade their learning standards by appearing for competitive exams. Aptitude training programmes cater to support such competitive exams in detail. Reference books are also made available in the department library.

• Skill Development (spoken English, computer literacy etc)

Students are given special training to improve their spoken skill. We conduct an out sourced technical training that encompasses C, C++ and JAVA for students. We have also initiated certificate training by oracle. We have an exclusive browsing centre in addition to the core labs to help students to practise programmes during their lunch hours or leisure time. To help students get to know about the Industry working we have collaboration with ICTACT to groom students with more technical learning and certificate courses. The staffs have also attended programmes and are training students in the college.
