Writing Task A (25 marks)

Scenario

You want to enter a competition to win vouchers for sports clothing and equipment. In order to enter the competition, you must write an article for a magazine aimed at young people about healthy living.

You should aim to write between 250-350 words. In your article you must:

 talk about what you can do to be healthy  include the benefits of exercise

 include the benefits of a balanced diet

Candidate has communicated information, ideas and opinions clearly, coherently and effectively:

● makes some attempt at engaging reader, but is unclear or not effective ● response is mostly clear and effective

● a well-crafted response, fully persuasive and convincing, which actively engages the reader and takes account of their likely reaction.
