PROJECT: REVOLUTION ENTERPRISES E-COMMERCE WEBSITE DEVELOPMENT

SCOPE OF WORK

This document includes estimates for Steps 1–6 outlined in the following pages, along with estimates for additional project components, which include:

• Magento License; • Hosting; and

• Strategic Branding & Visual Identity, which we see as a potential need to ensure the Revolution brand is seen as the modern brand that the new site design will communicate.

INTRODUCTION:

The cannabis industry is changing everything–medicine, laws–and most notably, it’s changing stigmas. As a Denver-based company, Cactus has been afforded the unique ability to witness these changes first hand. We understand both the opportunity and the hurdles that Revolution Enterprises faces during such pioneering times of change. For Cactus, the chance to create an e-commerce site for Revolution goes beyond selling cannabis growing supplies. We will be a crucial part of de-stigmatizing marijuana and propelling the science and function of cannabis to help people live better lives.

OVERVIEW:

Revolution Enterprises seeks to develop a fully responsive e-commerce website to support sales of its medical marijuana growing supplies.

In order to create this new website, Cactus will take Revolution through a six-step process which will help to clearly define the desired functionality while also creating a user-friendly interface. Below we

ASSUMPTIONS:

• Any work done outside of the original project scope, including ongoing maintenance and updates, will be billed to the client. Additional hours must be approved by a Revolution Enterprises representative before undertaken.

• Any illustrations, photography, video, or sound used (not provided by client) are not included in this statement of work and will be estimated separately and billed directly to the client.

• Programming costs are based on assumptions outlined within this addendum. • The website will be tested on the following browsers prior to release:

o Internet Explorer 10+ (Mac & Windows); o Chrome Current Version -1 (Mac & Windows); o FireFox Current Version -1;

o Safari Current Version -1 (Mac & Windows); o Android Chrome Current Version -1; o iOS Safari Current Version -1.

• The website will be built responsively such that the design responds to the screen from which the user is visiting the site (e.g., desktop, tablet, mobile).

• Google Analytics account will be installed site wide so that we are able to gather information about how the website is being used; if a current GA account exists, Revolution will provide Cactus with access to the account.

• Up to four hours of training on the newly implemented CMS will be provided to the client as part of this estimate. This will be broken into two, one-hour sessions where up to five administrators will be trained on how to use the website CMS. The remaining two hours will be used for follow-up calls between the client and the agency to answer specific management questions.

• This estimate does not include costs associated with the purchase of Magento Connect marketplace extensions.

• Product photography is not included in this estimate and will be provided by the client. • Client will provide legal, page content and product information for new website.

DETAILED WORK BREAKDOWN:

We will follow a six-step process to ensure your new website not only meets your needs, but also holds true to the tenets of web usability.

These steps include:

1) Discovery: We begin by doing our homework, asking smart questions, listening to your answers and working collaboratively alongside your team to develop creative, technical and measurable solutions for your website. Cactus will conduct an audit and discovery process of audiences, user experience, competitor sites, industry information and best practices, identify goals and objectives for the site. This will include a secondary research phase where Cactus will use the multitude of tools that we have at our disposal to look at consumer behavior and how they interact with various sites. This fee also includes hours for the Cactus team to conduct a survey to your audiences (does not include out of pocket costs for survey which may include acquiring email addresses to send the survey to, etc).

Cactus will also use this time to more deeply understand website use-case and user flow, and provide recommendations for establishing a community-based user experience, such as a community forum, social connectivity, inclusion of user generated content, and eCRM development.

2) Sitemap: Based on the discovery step, this will be our recommendation for the pages that should be included within the new website. A correctly architected sitemap takes into consideration the most

and developing the new site. Much like building a house, where you might look at a blueprint to make sure you have enough bedrooms and bathrooms; the wireframe is a checkpoint to ensure the necessary functionality for the new site has been considered prior to build out.

4) Design: The design phase of a website is one of the most crucial pieces. It sets the tone for the user’s experience as well as defines a company’s brand and positioning. It needs to be visually appealing yet cannot hinder navigation or information gathering. A successful design should leave a lasting impression and enhance the user’s experience. To ensure consistency in brand, the look and feel for the site will be based on other approved marketing materials and direction from the client regarding the desired branding.

Revolution Enterprises will be presented with two sets of design comps. Each comp set will include a home screen and interior screen mock-up in both desktop and mobile layouts. The client will be asked to choose a design direction and provide any necessary feedback to finalize the design of one comp set. Once approved, we will design the remaining necessary interior page templates (up to ten interior page templates are included in this estimate, along with up to three CMS-delivered email templates). The remaining screens will be created in the code rather than through design and will follow the templates created in this phase.

5) Write: Cactus will write copy for specified areas of the website tied to functionality, which will be identified during project kick-off (e.g., headers, buttons, captions). Longer copy content to be provided by client. See Assumptions.

ESTIMATED COSTS (STEPS 1 – 5):

$145,000

6) Programming & Development: The programming & development included in this estimate is based on the following functionality and is provided here for budgeting purposes. Please note that final functionality will be documented as part of the wireframing process. Upon completion of the design phase, Cactus will revise the programming estimate to reflect the approved functionality. Cactus will work with the client to find solutions that are cost effective, and if desired, Cactus can architect the website to a given development budget.

• An e-commerce CMS will be implemented as part of the foundation of the website. The CMS will allow administrators to add, edit and manage products for sale on the website, and also manage additional website content.

• Ability to store user email addresses for future marketing efforts.

• Social connectivity (Twitter, Instagram & Facebook) and potential tie-in of user generated content. • A community forum area where site visitors can submit questions, engage in conversation and learn

more about growing medicinal marijuana and more. The forum will be self-moderated, with the ability for administrators to further police content.

• A blog area where administrators can populate images, videos and text. Included in this estimate is time to import existing blog posts to the new platform.

• Up to 15 simple content pages, which can include images, text and links.

Prior to the Alpha release of the site, Cactus will populate site-wide copy, content and product

information, inclusive of all pages of the site. The site will go through an Alpha and Beta testing period in which the client will be asked to provide feedback. Upon final approval, Cactus will launch the website.

PROJECT ACCEPTANCE:

Upon completion of all deliverables detailed in this addendum, Cactus will ask Revolution Enterprises to execute a project completion document to confirm that the project has been completed and all assets have been delivered as expected.

ADDITIONAL ESTIMATES:

MAGENTO LICENSE:

Cactus recommends building the new Revolution Enterprises commerce site using the robust e-commerce platform, Magento. Deploying Magento will require the purchase of an annual license.

ESTIMATED ANNUAL COSTS: $18,000*

*These costs may change at the discretion of Magento.

WEBSITE HOSTING:

With a full website development and establishment of e-commerce operations, Cactus recommends hosting Revolution Enterprises new site with Rackspace. Website hosting includes a secure set-up with 24/7 support and regular site back-ups.

ESTIMATED ANNUAL COSTS: $6,000–$9,000

BRANDING & VISUAL IDENTITY:

Cactus will develop a refreshed identity and bring it to life through owned and earned assets (website, social platforms, etc.). This defined brand will provide clarity and consistency, support the company’s core mission and values, and serve as the road map for the brand and business as it is introduced through a new e-commerce platform and future locations. Cactus will provide a 2–3 page brand / graphics standards for Revolution partners and internal designres to use.

From a clear positioning, we’ll bring the Revolution Enterprises brand to life through a refreshed visual identity. We’ll look at the existing brand and the category, and we’ll push beyond. We’ll draw influence from brands, artists and icons that embody the brand tone. With a defined voice, we’ll investigate color, typography, imagery and graphics.
