A GSM modem is used to send the position (Latitude and Longitude) of the vehicle from a remote place. The GPS modem will continuously give the data i.e. the latitude and longitude indicating the position of the vehicle. The same data is sent to the mobile at the other end from where the position of the vehicle is demanded. When the request by user is sent to the number at the GSM modem, the system automatically sends a return reply to that mobile indicating the position of the vehicle in terms of latitude and longitude in real time.

Chuan-zhiet al. proposed a freeway incident detection system by utilizing the car air bag sensor and accelerometer, GPS to locate the accident place and GSM to send the accident location. However, the system did not utilize the GPS to detect the accident. A smart phone based accident detection system is proposed. However, smart phones are very expensive and due to false alarm filter, it may not detect all accidents. An acoustic accident detection method is proposed by D. A. Whitney and J. J. Pisano. There are possibilities of false alarm in the system and also does not guarantee the occurrence of an accident. Accident detection by utilizing an impact sensor and reporting system by wireless module is proposed. However, a wireless reporting infrastructure is very expensive and difficult to implement as installation of repeated receivers on the road at a very short interval are required. The proposed method aims to overcome the above mentioned limitations and utilizes only the GPS data to detect the accident and GSM network to send the location and activate a voice channel with the Alert Service Center [6-8].

In this implementation we use Atmel microcontroller, air solenoid and water solenoid valves are interfaced with GSM modem and GPS module which will be fixed in the two wheeler. User can stop the two wheeler when the vehicle under theft by android application.

The GPS receiver on the kit will locate the latitude and longitude of the vehicle using the satellite service. This is reliable and efficient system for providing security to the vehicles through GSM, GPS and serial communication. The maximum speed according to the standard is 20kbits/sec.
