The main objective is to improve the decision making process for the supply chain management in the construction industry .The objective can be broken down into the following components (i) Identify the bottlenecks in the current decision making process for material management process.(ii)Develop responses to the bottlenecks in current practices. This will require identifying in greater detail about the decision nodes in the construction supply chain management process. (iii)Identify the Parameters, alternatives and Performance measures for each decision node.(iv)Ranking the Parameters which affect the decision nodes using AnalyticalHierarchyprocess.(v)Based on the factors importance, which Performance measures need to be account for accurate decision making during material management process can be found out. Analysis and proﬁling of the selection problem and the identiﬁcation of the solution method’s desirable capabilities, triggered the consideration of analytic hierarchyprocess AHP  as a possible basis for the selection of parameters and performance measures.
Abstract—The best quality of services provided by health care facilities can be realized if medical devices are in reliable and safe condition. The large num- ber of medical devices and the use of various types of medical devices have been a problem for hospital management to decide the level of priority in carry- ing out medical equipment maintenance. The purpose of the maintenance is to increase their availability and to reduce the maintenance costs. This study aims to show how to determine the priority level of medical device maintenance based on the calculation of the criticality scores of medical devices. The critical- ity scores are obtained based on the assessment of criteria, sub-criteria and grade by using the method of AnalyticalHierarchyProcess (AHP). The devices with higher critical weight take higher priority for maintenance than devices with lower critical weight. The approach was applied for 20 medical devices at Out Patient Department of Eye Hospital in Jakarta to describe how to prioritize the maintenance of medical devices.
In many cases, supermarkets are founded on rental of already built property and in this case, the space is accepted as is. It is imperative in this case that the supermarket be designed to achieve multiple objectives such as ease of roaming, display area, special display areas etc. It is important for any store to have a good design, because it will be reflected on the customer’s satisfaction, which in turn will increase sales and will ease customer flow. Several possible ready-made designs are available in the literature such as Grid, loop, and mixed. When implemented on the current space limitations, they can have different achievement for the objectives of the design. AnalyticalHierarchyprocess (AHP) represents a suitable technique for comparing these designs and reaching the final layout design selection. AHP layout selection is applied to a local supermarket and different layouts were generated. The design objectives are then evaluated for each of the layouts. It was concluded initially there is variability in the objectives achieved by the different designs, and a suitable multi-objective technique is required to select the final design. AHP is used to determine which of the designs was the most suitable through multiple comparison and consistency check. The results showed that the grid design was the most suitable for the current case study.
The goal of this paper is to solve the selection of criteria and attribute of the heritage building by using AnalyticalHierarchyProcess AHP. The type of building and utilities should be chosen from the designated heritage building. Hence, that many of the elements in a heritage building, the selection criteria to determine is required. Thus, this study has chosen AHP to be used for selecting each element appropriate for the heritage building. Most studies, where AHP has been successfully used in selecting criteria and attributes for their respective studies. Element selection is a process related to this building. Therefore, this study has chosen to use of AHP is reasonable. In addition, the AHP approach used for rational and logical to understand, and also the process of calculation is quite simple This study analyzes the comparison of each criterion and attribute to get the priority value and eigenvector.
The collected data were used to develop a model for operations with respect to emergency fire responses using AnalyticalHierarchyProcess (AHP). AnalyticalHierarchyProcess (AHP) uses hierarchical structures to model problems (starting with objectives, criteria, sub criteria, and alternatives) and then develop priorities for alternatives to aid decision making. Especially when faced with a complex problem having multiple conflicting and subjective criteria (Lai et al., 2002).For AHP model development the governing equations applied are presented by Equations 1-4 (Bovwe et al., 2016). Equation (1) presents the structure of a pair wise comparison matrix, A which is the first step in AHP model development after the problem modeling has been established. This involves stating the major objective, criteria and sub-criteria of the proposed model (Brunelli,, 2015).

This method has been widely used as a multi-criteria decision making tool in industry as it is simple to use and understand (Chan., 2003). Usually, this method used to choose the best process in enhancing the productivity in an industry. The basic idea behind AHP method is to convert subjective assessments of relative importance into a set of overall scores and weights (Dodgson et al., 2000).
Abstract: Today, an increasing number of people are suffering from chronic hypertensive disease. In addition, there are more and more medications available to treat hypertension, which makes it difficult for doctors to choose the one that is most beneficial for the patient. This research is a good reference for beginner medical doctors, since it combines the opinions of six consultants in this field, based on their experience. The aim of this study was to prioritize the different medications available to treat chronic hypertension using a multi-criteria decision-making tool called the analyticalhierarchyprocess (AHP). This tool was applied to two common cases of hypertension, with surveys being filled out by six expert medical consultants. This model used four different medications and six criteria. The averages of the survey results were determined so that all the expert doctors acted as one in this study. There were seven steps to the AHP, and the results prioritized each of the medications for the two cases. The result was a priority vector for each alternative in each case, showing the percentage for each alternative.
This report contains 5 chapters that will explain briefly about this research. The first chapter is about the introduction of this research which contains background, problem statement, objectives, and scope of this project. The second chapter explains about the literature review which review about the previous research about the material handling system, AnalyticalHierarchyProcess (AHP), Fuzzy Logic and Fuzzy-AHP. Next, chapter 3 is about the methodology and steps that have been taken during conducting this research. Chapter 4 explains about the different design of material handling system, the hierarchy framework for AHP and the analysis of the result by using the Expert Choice software. Then chapter 5 is about conclusion and outcome of this research and the recommendation for future improvement also included.
Abstract: There are many potential and good open source software (OSS) products available on the market with a free license. However, with various choices, the adoption rate is still low among potential users because there is not an agreed acceptable set of criteria to evaluate and select various OSS. The criteria of selection may differ between the stakeholders within the organisations. There is a tendency that the user may have a biased perception of an OSS’s characteristics or capabilities for solving problems when selecting OSS products. Other restrictions are caused by inadequate documentation and user manuals, and immature products. Therefore, the users need to consider how to improve their decision making when selecting the most suitable OSS products. In this paper, the background research on the proposed OSS adoption and criteria of selection are discussed and explored. Then the research methodology, processes and implementation of the My Open Source Software Toolkit (MyOSST) v1.0 are covered. The analyticalhierarchyprocess (AHP) was applied on the selection process and for the purpose of assisting the potential user to decide on the OSS products based on their preferred selection criteria. MyOSST v1.0 was tested and validated by IT professionals in one of the Malaysian universities. The results show that the tool is capable of assisting the decision making process for selecting an appropriate OSS product.
ABSTRACT: The roads are not perfect in their functions due to the lack of proper maintenance and it makes the city more traffic congested. Decision makers often perform pavements repairs without considering the maintenance priority and without utilizing a systematic procedure. The analyticalhierarchyprocess (AHP) is one of the most effective techniques in decision making process, which is used to facilitate the prioritization of alternatives on basis of important parameters or criteria affecting the pavement rehabilitation, which are mainly based on cost and benefit point of views. In this study, some basic scoring rules were introduced to convert the qualitative factors into a quantitative scale and with the help of comparison matrix the weightage of each of these factors were determined. Finally a priority ranking is obtained from the benefit to cost analysis. As a case study the Perinthalmanna municipality (India) was selected and the total area was divided into 6 zones according to the land use. The benefit to cost ratio were analyzed to determine the maintenance priority of the zones. It was concluded that based on the existing conditions, the rating approach in AHP method prioritized the impaired sections for maintenance easily and effectively.
Grading the poor helps the government to establish a better policy to distribute resources more reasonably, and therefore provide a government aid to the deserving families more effectively. The traditional single-factor model (Income and consumption expenditure model) is not adequate, because poverty grade analysis involves various factors of different weights. Some factors cannot be analysed by classical algorithm namely income – expenditure and consumption model. In this paper we establish a multi-criteria decision model (MCDM). We use fuzzy triangular analyticalhierarchyprocess (FTAHP) to analyse poverty. We determine the indexes of poverty grade according to maximum membership degree which is derived from the Fuzzy AHP- Fuzzy Triangular Numbers comparison criteria importance matrices .In this way we quantify the qualitative data.
this segment, for the past one and half decades, no one applied this Random Process Theory (RTP) in too ‘Markov chain’ and AnalyticalHierarchyProcess (AHP) methodologies in this segment. For optimum cost and convenience we used feature selection method to reduce the dimension of our data set by pruning out some less needed attributes among 10 attributes. Dataset was semantically formulated from different websites and incorporated for 19 metro cities in the above mentioned dataset. This feature selection helps us to reduce the computational time and the result will be converged in a faster manner.
Abstract: Planning of district road management in District Ogan Komering Ulu Selatan has been based on village level board convention called ―musrenbang‖, ofwhich only a few were accomplished. Government tends to plan road management based on decision making policy, prioritising road management based on intervention policy. The objective of this research was to determine the better prioritization of road management by using analyticalhierarchyprocess method, based on the perceptions of peoplecompetent in road planning, using 5 (five) criteria i.e. road condition, traffic volume, accessibility, policy, and land use. The result of AHP evaluation showed the value of each criteria, with highest value was of road condition criterion( 42.4%) subsequently followed by traffic volume criterion (21.4%), accessibility criterion (12.4%), policy criterion (13.3%) and land use criterion (10.4%). It is concluded that, in the prioritization of road management, there should be a standard of various criteria so that the available budget can be allocated precisely and on target.
Abstract:Over the past decade wireless multi-hop ad-hoc networks have received a tremendous amount of research focus.In wireless ad-hoc networks a new routing scheme for congestion control is proposed as called Novel Routing Approach. This method adopts reinforcement learning framework to route the data from Source to Destination in the absence of detailed knowledge of entire channel.It proceeds with the overview of routing protocols used in the MANETS their properties and simulation methods. This paper introduces a new routing scheme developed by the use of evolutionary algorithms (EA) and analyticalhierarchyprocess (AHP) is used for getting the optimized output of MANET. Congestion is elastic traffic that degrades the result of the entire network. The concept of multi-hop ad-hoc networking was successfully applied in many classes of networks In order to predict the future congestion situation a relevant estimation is designed for each forwarder node and our proposed algorithm (ABCC) Agent Based Congestion Control routing protocol. In this paper cryptographic technique caser cipher is also employed for making the optimized route secure. This is achieved by both sufficiently exploring the network using data packets and exploiting the best routing opportunities.
Crab (crab) is one of the fishery products that is generally perishable. This is likely due to poor handling that decreases the quality. This research aims to determine factors that can affect the quality of crab and recommend a priority strategy most appropriate to apply quality control on crab handling at PT Tonga Tiur Putra in expanding its business. The present research uses AHP (AnalyticalHierarchyProcess) method. Three decision-makers in PT. Tonga Tiur Putra were taken as respondents. Analysis factor reveals that factor affecting the quality of crab meat is transportation. The proper alternative to control the quality of crab is human resource training.
The AHP has been applied in various complex decision making situations with its unique features of choice selection of one alternative from a set of alternatives. Prioritization/evaluation for determining the relative merit of a set of alternatives and benchmarking of processes or systems with other, known processes or methods  AnalyticalhierarchyProcess, introduced by Thomas Saaty (1980), is an effective tool for dealing with complex decision maker to set priorities and make the best decision. By reducing complex decisions to a series of pair wise comparisons, and then synthesizing the results, the AHP helps to capture both subjective and objective aspects of decisions.
PT. GTEI is a rental of Tugboat Coal Company in the Republic of Indonesia. Tugboat has many important components to support delivery, one of which is gearboxes. If gearboxes are breakdown, tugboats cannot sailing because the gearbox procurement process takes a long time, 2 month until 3 months. Because many suppliers cannot meet the need for quick gearboxes, researchers choose suppliers to get the tugboat gear box using the analyticalhierarchyprocess method.
Day surgery is one of the areas that are still not implemented in Slovakia in the intentions of finding significant economic savings in the health care system. The primary objective to use day surgery was to separate the patients with lighter chirurgical procedure, to less traumatize the patients with hospitalization, to protect the patient from nosocomial infections and to make recovery easier in greater comfort of the own home. The primary impulse for dealing with the effectiveness of health care systems, with an emphasis on day surgery, were conflicting responses regarding the efficiency and effectiveness of deployment and use of day surgery performance. On the one hand, we find the direct and indirect evidence of functional application of day surgery performance in health facilities in Slovakia and its potential benefits in achieving the aims of health policy of the SR. On the other hand there are critical responses on lack of the effects of the day surgery use, which are associated with low valuation of stated procedures which are inadequate to the real costs. It hinders its development in comparison with the development abroad. The main aim of this article is to compare the functionality of day surgery care in comparison with the system orientated on traditional hospitalization, using the opinion of the experts who represent the system of health care in Slovakia. For orientation in criteria characterizing the functionality of health care systems in Slovakia, we started from the premise that the functionality of health care system is a basis of its effectiveness. Given the considerable heterogeneity of compared criteria of health care systems we have chosen the method of AnalyticalHierarchyProcess as the optimal method, supported by the expert group method.
Background: This paper discusses the factors of production that affected the production quantity. These factors have many problems and effect for production planning, so that must be solved immediately. Because to keep the production stable or more increase, companies have to rank the production factor problems to know which one more importance and should be resolved first. However, to choose the priority should not be based on intuition but need through understanding of the decision problem and the process to prioritize the factor. Therefore, This problem can be viewed as a multi criteria decision making problem. Because of that, this study proposes AnalyticalHierarchyProcess (AHP) method for solving this problem. AHP is method for multi criteria decision making which is using quantitative and qualitative approach. Objective: This study aims is to facilitate the manager of production for analysis the problems and making the right decision with prioritization the problem (production factors). The results: the priority factor that influences the production quantity is the internal factor. The ranking factor are capital, labour, raw materials and technology and machinery. Conclusion: The result of this study gives more clear information about factor production, which is so problematic that the company easier to make a decision and the AHP method is suitable for resolving the production problem.

After reviewing all the material submitted by each applicant, a decision support software program was used to assist the search committee in the selection of the most qualified candidates for the position of project manager.
